"You like that one?" Abi asked as she crossed her leg.
"Huh? Oh, yes. You look gorgeous."
Abigail blushed a little, but didn't say more. I passed her back her photo and heaved a big sigh. I was just about to say "I'm glad you okay", but I noticed her leg was scraped and bleeding.
"Your leg. It's scraped."
"O-Oh!" Abigail sheepishly put her hair behind her ear. "I just slipped is all. I'm fine."
"Oh."
My mom was working today, so I led Abi to the basement and watched a movie or two with her. After that we went upstairs into my room, and packed for the trip. As Abi and I folded some shirts, and chatted about kittens, I remembered I was suppose to ask Abigail if she wanted to go with me.
How could I have forgotten!?
"I like the LaPerm cats. I think it's cool how they have more than one color on 'em." Said Abigail as she began folding some jeans.
"Uhm...Abi?"
"Hm?"
"Soo, I forgot to mention to you that Uh, Griffin won't be coming with me to Mars..."
Abi raised a brow. "But I thought you weren't going to Mars."
Shoot! I forgot I told her I wasn't going!
"Oh uh...I changed my mind."
"Oh but how will you go without Griffin? What happened to him anyways?"
"He got into a car accident. So that's why I was wondering if you would like to come with me instead."
Abigail hesitated for a moment. Then she raised both her eyebrows and said, "But I don't know how to fly the ship."
"You don't have to. It will be on auto-pilot."
Abigail hesitated again. Then she zipped up my suitcase, stood up, placed her hands on her hips and said, "Well then we better go pack my bag."
I grinned. I was glad she was coming. There's nobody else I would've wanted to go with.
