Shisui(fluff)

I know you guys are going to love me for doing not doing smut. *sarcasm alert* But remember that I know that I know that Shisui is a very complex character and he doesn't just have a sexual side. I want to show that first.

A/N: The reason why I do not do stuff like Naruto x reader and instead to Naruto x OC, is because I hate when you have to fill in the blanks like Y/N's hair color. It ruins the mood of the story. So I tend to write with OC's more than readers.

I put on my ROOT mask and tightened my katana to my back. Danzo-sama has ordered me to do a mission with one of Hokage-sama's ANBU. I shunshined there and immediately kneeled. "You asked for me, Hokage-sama?" I stated in a monotone voice.

He took one long puff of his pipe before nodding "Your code name for this mission is to be Masako. You are to be assigned with Shisui Uchiha for this mission."

I inclined my head respectfully "Hai, Hokage-sama." I looked to my right and there was Shisui Uchiha. A curly haired, pale, 16-year-old boy who looked quite tall for his age. I couldn't make out his facial features because of the mask he wore. I could tell he had onyx eyes. He had definitely inherited the Uchiha genetics. I tried not to look into his eyes, wary of his Sharingan.

Hokage-sama handed me a scroll "Masako, here is your mission details."

I gently grabbed it from his hands "Hai, Hokage-sama." Then I turned by head towards Shisui again "I understand that I will be following your orders through the duration of this mission, Shisui-Taicho."

"Hai, Masako." He nodded before turning his attention back to the Hokage "We will be on our way, Hokage-sama."

We both bowed one last time

-before shunshining to the Front Gates of Konoha. The guards marked our leave.

Once we were about half a mile into the forest, we found a clearing and discussed the mission details.

"We are to head to the Land of Snow and finding a man who wants us to locate and assassinate a group of A-rank criminals that have been harassing his village for a year. I assume that the man will give us the extra details once we get there." Shisui-Taicho elaborated.

I nodded and silently followed his lead as he once again took off into the trees. We ran for the whole day, until evening. We found a place to sleep. I was dumbfounded when he started to grab wood to make a fire. He even took off his mask and laid it gently on the side.

So I stated "Isn't this against the protocol."

He sheepishly but his arm behind his head while smiling "Well, I probably shouldn't, but all of our enemies have my Chakra memorized."

I was still confused. I drawled "And the fire?"

"I suspect that they already know where we are." He stated as he started the fire. It illuminated the whole area

I slightly tensed, ready for a attack "Then why haven't they attacked, Taicho."

"Because you and I are people they don't want to mess with." He turned a twig into the fire.

I inclined my head slowly. 'Just how much does he know about me?'

I started to pull a soldier pill out of my Kunai Pouch but a hand stopped me. I tensed at the contact. No one has touched me in years. I looked up to see Shisui "Come on, we have a big trip tomorrow. You have to eat something other than soldier pills."

I was confused but put them back into my pouch "What is there to eat besides Soldier Pills."

It was his turn to be confused, he furrowed his eyebrows "You don't know what Rabbit Stew is?"

I shook my head slightly "Isn't Soldier Pills the only food possible to eat."

He stared at me, almost fascinated "No wonder you look like a skeleton."

I nodded stiffly, choosing to ignore the comment.

After an hour we went to sleep by the fire. I would never admit it, but I enjoyed the warmth of a fire. It made me feel safe....Which is dangerous, yet comforting.

Shisui was fast asleep, his chakra system calm unlike the energetic roar of fire it usually was. I stared up at the sky, taking in the beauty of the stars. I looked at my hands, gathering my courage. Maybe tonight......

I slowly put my hands on my mask and hesitantly pulled it off. My eyes widening as the breeze lightly caressed my cheeks. It was truly a marvel. My vision felt three times bigger than it usually was.

I had never taken my mask off before....

It was an entirely new sensation.

 Suddenly I felt a hand rest itself gently on my cheek, stroking it softly. His scarred finger tips indicating the trauma of his past battles. I could feel the edge of the scar.

'That must have hurt like a bitch.'

 Shisui was sheepishly smiling "You know, you should take off your mask more often."

"Why?" I questioned curiously.

"You-you. I mean......" He mumbled to himself.

"What?"

"You look nice..." He said shyly, his onyx eyes glinting with vulnerability. A dark shade of scarlet dusted his cheeks and ears as he looked away, still caressing my cheek.

Shisui looked....frankly........adorable.

I felt my lips curl up into a genuine smile as I turned over to my side to look at him. I kissed his cheek, chuckling when his ears got even brighter "You don't look bad either..."

He shyly snuggled up to me. Both of us sideways on the grass, my neck in his shoulder as the moon emerged from behind the clouds. All of his muscles that should have been tense were relaxed as I held him in my arms. 

"I love you..." I heard him quietly whisper, the cool breeze ruffling the curls of his hair.

"I love you too, you adorable Uchiha." 

The ravenette looked away, his cheeks even redder than Kushina-sama's hair.

'I really do....love you.'
