Chapter Five × "Forty Seven?"

  "Wait are you serious?" I exclaimed into my mic, I felt the heat rush up to my face.

"Why would I joke? Of course I'm serious! We should meet up!" Dream answered with a small chuckle.

"So do you want to? You don't have to, I don't want to pressure you or anythi-" He started backtracking nervously, his words stumbling over another.

"No, no! I'd love to!" I cut him off. "I mean yes! We should totally meet up!" I said quickly, covering up my last sentence. He didn't seem to notice.

"Okay then its a plan!" He said, his voice happier than before.

We spent the next hour or two mining out the underground network and making it look nice. Dream was very fast while he work, and offered to do most of the work. Not that I would let him.

During the whole thing I tried to calm my nerves down. I would meet him in three days. Just thinking of that made me giddy inside.

Did I like him? I had known him for two days. Thats exceptionally fast to develop feelings for someone. But I couldn't deny the small feelings I did have for him. But I would be content with being friends..

..right?

I shook my head out of that thought bubble and launched back into the conversation with more energy. Hopefully I didn't sound off. That would be embarrassing.

What if I embarrassed myself when we met and he thought I was super awkward?

What if he thought I looked weird?

What if he acted totally different in person?

What if he didn't like me?

"[Y/N]? [Y/N]!" Dream said, cutting my train of thoughts off.

"Huh? Forty Seven?" I said confused, I was taken off guard.

"I was wondering if you wanted to start streaming Bedwars now? Its 3:50." He said and I could tell he was holding back one of his signature kettle laughs.

"O-oh! Alright!" I blinked. "Let me log off real quick, same server as yesterday?" I asked quickly, for clarification.

"Yep," He replied. I logged out of the SMP, happy with the work I had completed. I opened a Twitch tab and impatiently waited for it to load. I tapped my fingers on my desk, making the tapping sound into a small rhythm.

Once it loaded, I clicked onto my profile and hit 'Go Live'.

"Alrighty, I'm Live. People should be coming soon." I announced to Dream.

"One sec- 'kay, I'm also live." He replied.

I switched back to my Minecraft tab and on my second Monitor that hooked up with the first one, I saw the twitch chat.

I looked at the viewers to see 307,678 people already watching. I blinked and realized my facecam was on so I quickly situated myself.

I muted myself on discord for a quick second to make an introduction.

"Hello everyone! Today I'm playing Bedwars with the popular Minecraft streamer Dream! How is everyone?" I smiled.

I unmuted myself as I had loaded onto the match. Dream and I were on the Yellow  Team.

"Okay, start just placing blankets of wood and sandstone for a base." Dream instructed as I was already doing that.

"I'm going to go get Diamonds from the middle island." He said.

"Alright, don't die." I joked with a small laugh and he laughed quietly in reply.

"I'll try my best." He promised with a laugh. I watched him bridge over and I ran back into the base to get some basic tools.
