Shouted Yoo Joon waving his hand and walking towards her. He kept a bright and huge smile which made Amy laugh and once the boy was in front of her, he stopped for a minute as he was looking at Amy's face. Her eye-bags were quite noticeable.

Yoo Joon hugged her intensely as it has been years since their last bound. They started chatting. For the eyes and ears of Amy's mother they sounded and looked like two squirrels busy to draw up an evil plan to get walnuts. She was taking care of carrying her suitcase and hand luggage while Yoo Joon's father took other three.

<< You did well calling me >>

Claimed William while he was trying to lift suitcase's grip. He turned his attention to her dear friend, Lauren, asking himself how is it possible that she has been hurt twice in a horrific way.

<< You should have called me earlier though, when you were already in the hospital with all of your senses >>

Lauren laughed shaking her head, glad to hear how worried he was.

<< I wasn't sure of what to do honestly. I lived for a long time in Canada, my friends knew about my conditions when I was in the hospital. But among all of them I choose to bother you >>

William smiled and sighed heavily, gazing at Lauren's face and seeing through her eyes the fear and concern, not just for herself but also for her daughter. He looked at the young lady, the one and only child Lauren ever had, from her first love who unfortunately came out as a total different person.

<< I'm more worried about Amy >>

She continued.

<< She's so young.. before we flew over here, she broke up with her boyfriend. I really liked that young man. Still, Amy haven't told me anything yet >>

William glance at his son who was walking next to Amy. He asked Lauren if she thinks their children would ever be together.

<< Ewww! Are you crazy?! >>

Said Lauren trying to imitate her daughter's voice each time she would see bug. Both of them laughed.

<< Yeah, I think that too. But it would be nice if they end up together. They're friends since they were children, I would not be surprised if they fall in love. Now Yoo Joon has to stay extra time with her to teach her how to speak Korean >>

Lauren made a sound of frustration.

<< Fortunately I still know how to speak it! However I think I'll buy some grammar exercises books. I don't think my Korean is as brilliant as it was >>

Lauren used to work in Korea, staying for almost five years before she came back to her motherland. Many memories got blunt out of the blue in her mind. She could hear William talking but his voice sounded so blurred that it seemed to be underwater. The feeling of being abandoned showed up again. The faces of these two men who she trusted deeply transformed as dark shadows getting closer to her, trying to wrap her in the obscurity.

Summoned again William, lowing himself to see her face which was looking at the ground.

Said Lauren touching her left temple with her index and middle finger. After a sigh she began confessing to his dear friend that she did not want the same for her daughter.

<< When she broke up with Henry, her -now ex boyfriend, she didn't tell me the reason. I think maybe she doesn't trust him anymore after what his father and my companion have done to me >>

William sighed again, as he took her opinion as a possible reason of Amy's breakup, however, he could not focus on her since he was more concerned about Lauren's conditions.

<< I'm so proud of you Laury. You managed so well.. everything. I'm glad you asked for my help. I swear Amy will be her happiest here. Yoo Joon will always look after her at school. Just forget about these two men. I'm disappointed on both of them. I don't know who to hate more actually >>

Lauren giggled at his last sentence as she did not know know either.

Asked William who had a nod of hers as response. He smirked, believing that people like that man deserved to stay behind bars. 

Amy was pleased as Yoo Joon have not asked anything yet. He probably knew what happened to her mom and why they moved to another country. The atmosphere was completely different in Korea. It felt like the rays of the sun have not touched her for years. She felt like wave of heat just swathe her. It wasn't Yoo Joon's hug. It was the nature itself who seemed to welcome her in this new world. A new life was waiting for her, even though she wasn't ready to let go everything. Especially the past. Her awful past.
