After their guest left, her mom began to lecture her.

<< I think Koreans get easily offended if you don't take your time welcoming them. So next time, please >>

She took a breath.

<< Take your time before leaving >>

Her voice sounded more calm than her previous glares as Amy noticed it, she became more alerted. It is not her mom to be so chill towards her after a mistake. They kept quiet for a while. Amy was washing dishes while her mom was mopping.

<< I'm glad you still know something about Korean >>

Her mom said.

<< Even if you made some grammar mistakes. You invert the orders of some words. Study hard Amy >>

The next week Amy almost forgot the lady who visited them. She was used to fake promises. They would say "text you later" or "let's organise for another date" while their true intention might be never see you again. Yoo Joon didn't pass much time with Amy, for she wanted to learn as soon as possible the language. She would not even go with him for groceries due to the fact she did not desire to interact with Koreans when hers was not fairly fluent.

A month passed and Yoo Joon was going crazy because of his fright to fail his exams. He needed to study once again many subjects. The only help he could provide for Amy's Korean was continuously talking to her. Improvements were seen by the whole family, her mom was so shocked that she couldn't even congratulate her. Yoo Joon's dad pointed his head towards Amy, starting to nod with proud face and nudged Lauren's arm encouraging her to say something.

Amy's voice was soft, sharp and sounded like a toddler's. It was close to a Korean native.

<< My dear! I can't believe it. Only a month passed and now you're so good at Korean congrats! >>

William hugged Amy with a bright smile on his face. She felt weird and uncomfortable as the touch of man kind was disgusting her thereafter what came upon her mom in Canada. Fortunately the hug did not last long. Once William felt her rigidity he immediately backed off, sticking his smile to do not make things awkward and continuing his congratulations. Downstairs was rushing Yoo Joon, his clumsiness attracted his father who was in a hard moment, therefore he asked what he was up to. He responded with an annoyed and hurried voice.

<< I want noodles >>

He was putting his shoes on and taking a while for it. Amy could see his stress from his movements and William, looking at his son, face palmed himself since he could not believe that he raised Yoo Joon to become like this.

<< Amy, you should go too >>

Proposed her mom moving her head to point Yoo Joon. Amy was ready to refuse, but since her Korean was going fine she wagged her head up and down and smiled to her mom.

<< Yoo Joon! Wait for me. I'm coming with you >>

She ran towards his best friend giving him a friendly hit on the back with the palm of her hand and swished away upstairs to get ready. She took the first large sweater she had and stayed with her large suit. When she came back Yoo Joon was tying his shoes.

<< You're so slow >>

Honestly admitted Amy. After saying so she put her trainers on and opened the door.

<< Ha-ha very funny. If I wasn't this fast you would have stayed here >>

Amy shrugged.

<< Who said you're fast? I said you're slow >>

<< You little bitc— >>

Amy laughed and got out of the house running for she knew Yoo Joon was going to follow her. After closing door he spotted Amy and waved his arm.

<< You're going in the wrong direction idiot! >>

He yelled. Following two seconds he turned and walked to the opposite direction of where Amy was. Once they walked side by side Yoo Joon informed her that they were going to the mall by bus. Amy knew that both of them needed some free time from their activities for she witnessed how hard Yoo Joon studied.

<< I'm not the only one. Look at your eye bags. On 2am I could still see your lights >>

He said, not wanting any compliment from Amy since she was bolder than him as she managed to learn Korean so well with just one moth and almost a week past. First they've ate some hot and delicious food on one of the mall's Korean restaurants. Amy ordered fried rice and dumplings while Joo Yoon some kimchi noodles along with octopus mixed plate.

<< I missed this taste! >>

Said Amy with her mouth fulfilled.

<< Chew before talking, you want me to throw up? >>

Joked Yoo Joon. Amy begin to question him about his grades which were his concerns throughout vacations. Even though he preferred not to respond, he thought that facing the truth and reality was best for him and he hoped his best friend was willing to payback it.

<< It's because of a girl in school. I really like her but before vacations I saw her confessing to that.. that jerk.. >>

Amy laughed as Yoo Joon's face was making a riled up rictus. The sharp nose he had became flat like a potato and wrinkles on its side more pronounced.

<< Anyways it doesn't matter. What matters now for me are my grades >>

He claimed.

<< Nooooooow~ >>

He said with a childish tone, lengthening it. Before continuing, he cleared his voice.

<< Seriously Amy.. I know you want to avoid this but.. how are you feeling? >>

A long silence descended between them. The scent of kimchi noodles and fried rice kept diffusing itself. Dumplings were still untouched both Yoo Joon's and Amy's. She picked one of his friend's, chewing it nervously and swallowed like she was drinking alcohol.

<< Yoo Joon. I'm sorry I haven't told you much. You kept texting me, and I'm sure you know everything from your dad >>

He nodded and as soon as he opened his mouth to respond and ask more questions, Amy suspended him by acknowledging his intentions.

<< You wanted to hear my side of the story? >>

He smiled, and began to eat his noodles without taking off his eyes from her for he knew her explanations were going to be more interesting than any other movie.
