"Are you finally staying, Vladimir?" His father asked him as they talked in his father's room.

Looking at his father who was sitting on the bed he said, "Yes. Until she decides to leave. I will follow her wherever she goes."

Millard nodded, finally his youngest decided to settle down. After about a decade and 5 of not seeing Viktor he doubted if his son had a family of his own.

"I hope you're serious about this, Vladimir."

"Of course father, I love her more than I love my life."

Silence passed by the two. After some time, Millard spoke. "Weeks?"

Viktor smirked, knowing what his father was talking about. "Just 3 weeks."

His father gasped, "3 weeks!? You mean you pounced on her on the very first day?!"

It was a total lie but Viktor lets his father assume. "Yes," he laughed, "just as you wished, father. You're getting a grandchild from me."

His father shook his head, "I can't believe you, attacking an emotionally unstable woman."

Viktor laughed, a deep rumble coming from his chest, "She wasn't the least bit unstable, father. She just cried over the way she was treated because she clearly doesn't deserve that."

His father clicked his tongue. "And you decided to come home after a decade and 5! Really, you're more of a trouble than your mother thought, Vladimir." He shook his head while saying. Viktor only laughed. Millard laid down on the bed and waved his hand at his son.

"Okay, go along now. I want to sleep."

Viktor stood up,"Good night, father." He said.

Millard grunted in response and closed his eyes. Viktor exited his father's room.

His father had called him 3 nights before Christmas about the gathering, like what his father had always done. He denied saying he had found someone fit to be his wife. And, as a father who looks out for his sons, inquired about the lady his son was finally paying his attention to.

He asked about it and was perplexed at what they both found out. It turns out Asia was his niece.

Asia Lebedev, the only daughter of his eldest brother, the heir to all of Lebedev properties and mother company, and of his wife. Nevertheless, when hearing about that fact, he didn't falter with his love for her. His father discouraged him about his relationship with Asia. But he didn't back down. And for the first time, the two argued and bickered all night.

And the next day he confronted his father about her, he hadn't known his eldest brother's wife had given birth, or the media would've known about her pregnancy. He had his doubts and it was confirmed.

Ultimately, with his relentless pestering, his father had revealed that Asia was in fact, adopted.

When he knew, he was relieved beyond measure knowing she wasn't his biological niece. The two kept it a secret from the relatives, especially from Asia's parents, about their forbidden relationship. And to secure his position for Asia's hand in marriage, he told his father earlier through a text message that she was pregnant with his child.

While Millard had been slowly accepting that his son was in love with his granddaughter, he was really, extremely surprised by the 'revelation'. He couldn't his his surprise, of course but he couldn't do anything and accept the fate. And Viktor's plan to make Asia his was solidified.
