A Thousand and One Nights ~ Robert Manion {on hiatus}

chapter 4

(there's gonna be a bunch of time skips. Sorry, not sorry?)

Sitting at my desk typing on the computer, I was thinking about the day's events. I was shocked. Did I actually like Robert Manion? A guy who I had only just really met? Or was it because I've idolized him for so long? Gods, I don't know!

I slammed my laptop closed, got up, and flopped down on my bed face first.

"Ughhhhhhh," I groaned. Between schoolwork, Black Friday, and life's curveballs, I was exhausted. I got a lot done on my assignment and didn't need to do anymore right now (couldn't be me), so I decided to just have a chill night.

I got up, grabbed my favorite blanket, and went out to the living room to watch a movie. I picked up the remote sitting on the white side table and now had the daunting task of picking something to watch.

I first clicked on Hulu but didn't see anything that sounded good, so I clicked out and went to Netflix but no movies there sounded that good either. I thought, "You can't go wrong with The Office," and proceeded to turn it on.

Ding-Ding! My phone notifications went. I checked my phone to see it was 9:30 AM and I did not want to be awake. There was no rehearsal today, but we had the live stream at 3 so I was free to do what I wanted.

Jon :) :

Hey do you want to go grab some lunch with me later?

Me:

Ummm, of course! Where were you thinking?

Jon :) :

Dare I say your favorite, Chipotle?

Me:

What do you think this is, of course Chipotle is good

(Oh My God, I love Chipotle. Chipotle is my life. Seriously I made Olivia so basic ahaha)

Jon :) :

Alright! See you at 1!

Me:

See you then! *insert white friendship heart here*

(I quite obviously don't know how real people text because I honestly just send people memes)

I got up off of the couch I had fallen asleep on the previous night and walked into the bathroom. I looked a mess. I reached for my phone and started playing my theatre playlist and sang while I got ready.

Once my hair and face looked somewhat presentable, I grabbed my favorite oversized white sweatshirt, some leggings, and my mint green Adidas and put it all on.

Hmmm... what to do now. I thought, looking around. Oh, I know! I can go on a walk.

My pipe dream was foiled, however, by my phone ringing. I picked it up and saw my sister's face across the screen.

"Hey Tristyn," I say upon answering. I was expecting the worst since she didn't call often.

"Why didn't you tell me you're in a Starkid show?!" she said in a combination of fangirl excitement and anger.

"Mom and Dad knew, I just forgot to tell you," I said ashamed, knowing my 17-year-old sister was almost as big of a fan as I was.

"Well since you forgot, why don't you tell me a little bit about the new show?" she proposed.

"Not a chance. And besides, you'll find out more when the livestream airs," I reply to my knowingly persistent sister.

"There's a livestream today! You're holding so much out on me."

"I'll try to tell you next time. Anyways, speaking of the livestream, I gotta go, it's in a few hours. I love you,"

"Love you too," she says begrudgingly and hangs up.

I grabbed my purse from my desk and put what I would need in there, and also got my Airpods (got some for Christmas and love them so much!) and connected them to my phone. They automatically started playing my liked songs into my ear and I was ready to go. (Olivia is a basic little twerp and we stan. BUT WHERE IS SHE GETTING HER MONEY)

"Hey, Jon," I said once I got out of my car.

"Hey Livvy," he said, and I saw Robert getting out of the car behind him.

(I don't feel like writing their lunch, but they joked around and had fun)

Finally, it was time. Livestream time. I had arrived at the address texted to me and was ready to walk in. Some people were already there recording, but I had taken a Starbucks detour to get a chai tea latte (YOU'RE BASIC OLIVIA BUT I LOVE TEA AS WELL).

I took a deep breath and knocked on the front door. I was nervous, considering this was the first time I was about to be officially revealed to the fandom. Of course, I had been shown in the background of people's Instagram, but no one really knew who I was.

"Come in!" I heard so I opened the door.

"Hey!!" I heard some people say and I was pretty overwhelmed by everything.

"Hey Olivia, come here and sit on the couch," Nick said, and continued to the camera, "so this is Olivia, and she's new to the cast. We'll reveal who she is going to be later."

"Hi, guys!" I said to the camera.

"So how are you liking the rest of the cast so far?" Nick asks, prompting me to talk more.

"Everyone is great! I'm already having a fun time with everyone, and I think the show is gonna turn out fantastic!" I respond.

"Well good!" Nick replied. I turned and looked at the screen with the enigmatic audience's comments. There were some positive feelings about me and some confused feelings about me. There were also some questions about our goddess Mariah.

There was another knock on the door and Lauren walked in.

"Lauren!" I exclaim among the other calls of hey around me.

"Hey everyone!" she said walking in. She was wearing her hair curly and was wearing a cute yellow top.

She walked over to us and I got up and offered her my spot. She took up my old spot to answer questions and say hi. I moved back to the chair between Jon and Curt in the back row.

We all began chatting about the show and Rob came in a few minutes later, presumably from the bathroom and he sat on Jon's other side. As soon as he showed up, there was a lot of ...interesting.... Comments.

The livestream continued until we hit the milestone that Lex was revealed and I was called to attention again.

"Alright guys, you finally get to hear why Olivia is here, and that is because she is playing the main protagonist, Lex Foster. Lex is a troubled teen with a terrible home life. She has a little sister named Hannah, and an SO named Ethan, both we'll explain later. So Olivia, what's your favorite part of playing Lex?" Nick finished.

"Umm... probably being able to create such a unique character with so many built-up emotions. She's much deeper than anything I've ever played before."

The livestream ended an hour later with more characters explained, me and Jon fighting over holding the Wiggly prototype, and some scratch tracks played with some questions sprinkled around in there.

A/N

I posted again are you proud of me? Yeah idk if Tristyn is gonna be relevant in the future but I'm hoping I can use her at some point. 

This was kind of filler, but now I think I can actually start progressing the real plot so yay!
