The sun streamed into my bedroom window. The normal sounds of Los Angeles traffic flowed into my ears. I picked my phone up, disconnected it from the charger, and checked the time. 8:30. I was up surprisingly early for me. Grabbing my glasses and jamming them on my face, I pushed my blue throw blanket and large black and white striped comforter off of my mostly bare legs, getting up to start my day.

I walked into my large bathroom before realizing through my grogginess: it was the first day of Black Friday rehearsals. I decided to take a shower and take the time to look more presentable, which I had time for considering rehearsal began at 11. I pulled off my t-shirt and shorts and turned the water on to a scorching temperature. After the water heated up, I hopped in and went through the routine of washing my body, my hair, and shaving my legs.

After my shower, I had to decide what to wear. This was always a hard choice for me, but especially when meeting the Starkids, a group who I've idolized since I was in high school. In the end, I decided on a black skater skirt, a pastel purple shirt, a light blue cardigan, and my black Vans.

My hair and makeup still needed to be done, but luckily I had time. I towel dried off my wavy, blonde hair and decided to french braid it. That didn't take long, since I do it so often, so I moved forward to my makeup. I decided to go simple with just some concealer, mascara, and lip gloss.

After I finished the process of getting ready for the day, I checked the time again on my phone. Only an hour had passed. What am I gonna do with all this spare time? I ask myself. I needed to pack my bag for rehearsal because I had been procrastinating doing that.

I grabbed my coral pink backpack out of my closet, but inevitably put it back because I realized that with all the pastel colors, I looked like springtime threw up on me. Instead, I walked back over to my closet and grabbed out a simple black and white bag. Now that's more like it. I put my dance shoes, water bottle, hair ties, deodorant, a protein bar, and a few other essentials before deciding to head out.

Grabbing my black leather mini backpack that I use as a purse and making sure my book, phone, and keys were inside, and slinging my rehearsal bag over my left shoulder I opened the door to my apartment and left, locking the door behind me.

I felt a vibration on my left wrist and realized, oh shoot someone's calling me. I looked down to see the name of Nick Lang. I continued walking with both bags on each of my shoulders and finally arrived at the elevator in my building. I pressed the button and swung my bag around to reach my phone so that I could call Nick back.

"Hey Nick," I said when the dial tone stopped.

"Hey, Olivia. I was just calling to remind you that we have rehearsal at 11 and that I texted you the address."

"Alrighty, thanks, Nick. I was actually already leaving."

"Already?" I could hear the confusion mingling in his tone.

"Well, I was gonna head to Starbucks and maybe the bookstore if I had time. Do you want anything while I'm there?"

"No, I'm okay, but thanks for the offer,"

"It's no problem. I'll see you at rehearsal. Bye!"

"Bye!" he responded and then hung up.

After the call, my excitement spiked to an all-time high. I can't believe I'm going to be in a Starkid show! Not only that but a lead! My character was called Lex Foster, who was a seventeen-year-old rebellious type girl (Sorry Angela). I was super excited to play her because I was used to innocent, sweet characters or dancing in the ensemble, which was my strong suit.
