I finally make my way through the crowd and back to Brooke "I decided to get you water since I got maybe one foot away and could literally smell the vodka wafting off the punch bowl" I said jokingly. She smiled laughing softly "well I guess that was sweet of you. I really enjoyed my night with you. I cant lie, I had every intention on avoiding you but I'm kind of glad I didn't. I probably would have enjoyed this night a lot less". I looked down at my shoes, I cant lie that hurt a little "I mean why would you want to avoid me?" Brooke grabbed my hand "Don't get me wrong I think you are one of the sweetest people I've ever met. But I don't know how fair it would be to you if I start this whole, whatever it is that we are trying to start, and then I go off to college and we never see each other, never talk. I mean I'm a book worm, so most of my time would probably go towards studying" she looked guilty. I didn't want her to feel guilty about going to better her life but I had to let her know how I feel "Crazy part about it is,c you are most likely right but I couldn't live with my self if I didn't at least try to get to know you". Before either would get out another word Tina pushes her way in between us looking crazy as ever and sloppy drunk "You are so fucking stupid! Did you tell her how you just kissed me and told me that you wanted to be with me? How you told me that I had nothing to worry about because you were only using her for her parents money?!" she exclaimed pushing me against my chest. I was so shocked all I could do was look into Brookes watered eyes as she laughed bitterly "Wow! Really tanner? You are a fucking joke! You and her deserve each other, both of you please just stay the hell away from me." She was looking at us in pure disgust as she backed away. I reached out for her desperately but she just yanked away from me "Brooke! Wait, please let me explain. I swear she is fucking lying.." Brooke instantly dashes away from Tina and I. She makes her way through the crowd to find Remy ,she is basically balling her eyes at this point. She finds Remy and she is fucking wasted and dancing with some random guy "What's wrong girl? I thought you was having a good time". Brooke just shook her head "Look I don't have time to explain, I have to go. I'll see you later, call my mom if you need a ride back to the house". Remy pushed away from the guy and tried to pull Brooke into a corner to talk " Wait Brooke! Wait, what happened? ...." Brooke's lip trembled and with out another word she darts for the door and makes it out to her car. (meanwhile Tina and Tanner )

I turned on Tina as soon as I saw Brooke run to Remy "Tina you are a real cunt you know that! What the fuck was that?!" She smirked and staggered back slightly "Cunt? What do you mean? I saved her, basically, from a bum who can barely take care of his self. How the hell did you think it was going to end for you two? You need me, you always have and always will!" I shook my head, my face flushed with anger "Stay the hell away from me and stay the hell away from Brooke. I mean it Tina". I head up stairs where the rooms are, and beat on my best friends' bed room door. "Dude its me let me in! It is important, open the door!" Jay calls back from the crack in the door "Bro what's good? I'm kind of busy right now man". I ran my fingers over my head in frustration "Listen man I need the keys. I need the keys like right now! Hurry!". Jay sighed and poked his head out taking a good look at the frazzled Tanner "Dude I don't think you should be driving right now". I slammed my hand on the wall "Listen if you care about me at all, you would give me those keys." Jay sighed louder before disappearing to grab his keys "Fine bro, I'm trusting you to get my car and yourself back safely. Don't make me regret it". I walk out the door and take off to the car. I scan the yard and see Brooke jumping in her car. I curse as I watch, helplessly, as she drives away from me, away from us. No! I jump in the car and speed in a similar direction before breaking off at the fork in the road. I knew a short cut to catch up to her and hopefully stop her or follow her and get her back. I had to get her back.
