After filling up their hungry tummies with abundant of comforting food, they retreat to the big living room with a day bed at the side of the big glass window. Taehyung was the one who suggested they sleep there just to enjoy the beautiful night view of the ocean outside. The day bed is positioned perfectly beside the big window so that whoever sits there can look at the view outside while lying down on the bed.Pulling her closer to his chest, he wraps on hand around her waist as she shifts on the bed before finally resting her head in the crook of his arms. They talked a lot during dinner and as much as she thought she might have no energy to talk about it, having Taehyung with her seems to dissolve all doubts.
Her head feels lighter now after spilling everything again to him. He listened attentively and responsively. It made her feel like she is being heard and that could be the thing she needed the most—to be heard.
She couldn't really understand how and why everything seems easier with him around her. It felt like his presence itself works wonder on her mind and body, pushing out every bad thought away and leaving her with nothing but pure calmness. All that heaviness on her shoulders seems to dissipate slowly when she was talking to him, as if he was magically taking every bit of it and dump it somewhere she can never reach.
"Taehyung"
"Hmmm?", his lazy reply makes her smile to herself, watching as his hand gently caressing hers.
"Just now.... you said I should value the time I have with Haneul....I mean, you said I should appreciate what I have with Haneul.....right?"
"Yes", he said softly. "Why?"
"Why did you say so?"
Taehyung stopped caressing her hand, and that made her look up to his face. She studies his face, seeing a certain emotion slowly taking his features. She could not really pinpoint the exact emotion but then it feels like her heart just stopped for a fleeting second when he suddenly looks sad.
"Taehyung, did I say something—"
"No", he shakes his head, pulling her closer. " I just—I don't want you to regret not spending the time you have now with Haneul"
Haru gulps silently as she reads his face, seeing the way he seems to stare into the distance and not meeting her eyes. Slowly her hand moves to his cheek, gently caressing it making him smile at her, soft eyes adoring her.
"You're so beautiful", his lips curl upwards but then he pressed his lips as if trying to hold the big smile. "You're just—so—so beautiful"
He brushes her hair, taking in the sight of her looking at him, all curled up in his arms and her presence slowly filling him in.
"I am going to kiss you again if you keep looking at me like that", he arches an eyebrow playfully, a small smirk plastered on his face.
"Tae", gently pushing herself up, she keeps her eyes on him, still wanting to read him. She saw something in his eyes when he talked about wanting her not to have any regrets not spending more time with Haneul. She saw it. And it scares her to know she might be missing on something.
"What's wrong?", he gently rubs her arms, concern eyes following her. "Are you not feeling well?"
"Look at me, Tae", she pulls him up with one arm, making him sit. "I want you to look at me"
Confused at the sudden gesture, Taehyung followed her instruction and look into her eyes, albeit having to hold in the urge to just kiss her again.
