ANYWAY HERES CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

Chelsea Smith

I step into the diner, taking a deep breath.

"Hey, you got in a little too early." Luke says, "I like to come here earlier, gets me away from my idiotic siblings. It became a habit that I can't stop now." I let out a sigh.

"Why did you buy the diner..? We are both are artists, we have tours." I sit on the bar stool and watch him as he makes tea or something.

"Well, I have my Mom." He points out.

"You know, I just noticed something. Girls always come and go around you..."

"Yes, it's because of my mother." Luke mutters.

"But she likes you, because we grew up together and stuff so you're fine." He adds and place a cup of coffee in front of me.

"A little more sugar than usual, normal salt, and everything else is the same." He says.

He remembers what I drink.

"I think I put too much salt in there..." He then mutters. I let out a chuckle, "it's fine."

We stayed in silent for a while, "chels. Have you grieved yet?" He suddenly questions.

"Do I look like I have time to?" I put on a fake small smile.

"It's not good keeping it all inside, you know."

"I know, Hemmings, I know."

-

I watch as the girl I saw yesterday approach Luke at one of the tables.

I think her name is Christie, Christie Goodwin.

"Why are there paps outside?" Lea ask as she grabs a donut.

"Probably about Christie and Lukey over there." I mumbled.

"Oh yeah, soccer game tonight, don't forget." Lea reminds me.

"Hey Hemmings, soccer game tonight!" Bailey shouted.

"Haven't got that off my mind," Luke says, walking away from Christie.

"And no dates are allowed." Bailey added, a smirk on her face.

"What do you think you're doing?" I mouthed, with a glare on my face.

"Doing you a favor, embrace it my honey bear." Bailey whispers and grabs her glass of orange juice.

"I wasn't planning on bringing a date." Luke says, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Good, because I would've killed whoever you could bring to the game." Bailey smiles but her smile fades when she saw the person who steps in.

"Kyle.. Kyle Gilbert."

>>

"This is going to be the worst day ever, unless we win tonight's soccer game." I say, bringing out cupcakes to everyone for free because I feel like it.

"Who's Kyle Gilbert?" Luke ask.

"Chelsea's British hookup." Bailey replies like its no big deal.

"You guys had sex...?" Lea's eyes widen.

"We did not. We just have a massive make out session for like 5 days then we flew to LA and we never contact each other again. And then I met Logan and blah blah blah." I explain and put the tray down.

"Wow, how many other boys had you hookup with?" Luke questions.

"I should ask you how many girls had you hooked up with." I snap at him.

"Okay, you two lovey doveys." Bailey put her glass down on the counter. "Just kiss each other already."

"Go fuck yourself." I snap at Bailey.

-

"Chelsea, don't push yourself too much." Alex says as we walk onto the field.

"I will be fine." I assured and stood in the center.

"Why is Kyle here?"

"Don't you remember? We're playing against England today." Alex replies to my question.

"Oh you gotta be kidding me." I muttered and watch Kyle walk up in front of me.

"You're going with the usual..? Heads?" Kyle ask, with a smirk on his face.

"No, I am changing my luck. I am going with tails."

"Oh we're dead." Brandon mutters when the referee flips the coin in the air and it landed on the top of his hand.

"Ball goes to Australia." A wide smile appear on my face, "good luck, Gilbert. I don't play nice."

-

"Chelsea, what's wrong with you today? You scored 4 goals straight!"

"I don't like Kyle, I despise him." I answer to Bailey and grab the water bottle.

"I despise him a lot."

"Chelsea Smith, psycho on court!" Ashton passes his phone to me. "Chelsea Smith, blah blah, sprint, turn and whatever shit. Psycho on court... That's nice." I smiled and pass it back to him.

"Chelsea, halftime, you'e swapped."

"With who...?" We all look at our coach, "our newbie, Christie Goodwin."

-

"You gotta be fucking kidding me." I say as she fells down like the 8th time. "Coach, it's fucking 3-4. We're gonna lose." I say to our coach.

"Swap it with Diana, please!"

"Hey, no! I suck at soccer." Diana snaps at me, "but I know you're better than Goodwin, now swap."

-

We sit on the field, I was glaring at Christie, how she almost make the team lose.

"Chels, stop glaring at her." Cali warns me. "At least we won," she says. "Yeah whatever." Bailey mutters, probably feeling the same way i do.

"Since when she's in our team? She just come unannounced, we could've got disqualified." Bailey points out.

"Now stop it," Coach says, putting his right hand up.

"Today's game is not counted in the results."

-

"Ugh! I shouldn't had come back home." I slam the locker doors, "hey! Calm down." Luke sat up from the bench.

"Why the fuck are you here?"

"Well, nice to see you too, Chels." He retorted.

"Not in the mood, because of your bloody ass girlfriend." I snap at him. "She isn't my girlfriend, just one of my date for tomorrow night and we will see what happen from there." He says.

"Oh dear lord, don't bring her to the diner."

"Chels, we have to go to like a masquerade ball tomorrow night. We won't be in the diner."

"Oh right, I forgot." I let out a groan. "I don't have any dresses." I pick up my bag and sling it over to my back.

"I bet Diana got you something, don't sweat it."

"Ugh, I feel like I am at high school dances or something. Except that it is more high-class and not so freaking budget." I stated.

"And we both will be there together.. Not like when we were 15, you went and I didn't. And when I was 16, I went but you didn't because you had already dropped out."

"We have such a sad life in high school." I point out. We were already walking out of the stadium, Alex is driving me home since my motorcycle is missing.

Sigh.

Luke's 'girlfriend' is standing right by her bright red car.

"Bye moron." I muttered and went over to Alex's car.
