Chapter 4

It has been two weeks since Loki set his foot once again in the Avengers tower. It's been two weeks since I started guarding the cell. And nothing has changed, except Loki is a little more open to me now. But today is my day off and I've considered visiting my dad in the hospital. I'll finally see him after almost five years. But Nat and the others won't let me." Nick has told us someone is keeping an eye on the tower, since they've 'probably' seen a possible new member to our team, you, and want to know more and make it public. You're not ready to do mission and we know you don't want to be official yet, so it has to wait." Now I'm mad. I want to see him." But I have transformation magic so I can look like Nat when leaving the building! No suspicion whatsoever!" They know I've won by that. They know most of my powers, one of them disguising myself as another. I just need weight, height and to see a full body picture or see them in front of me. The only downside is that I have to change clothes every time I copy someone new." Alright then. Natasha, you're making her look like you and Thor will be escorting you." I knew something like this would be arranged and it's annoying, but I agree anyway.

Tight black pants, red tank top, black high boots and a leather jacket. I remove the shackle and look well at her. Slowly, my (h/c) hair shortens and turn red and eyes green. I'm identical to her now." Looks about right, now for the makeup." She puts on her signature lipstick and scarlet eyeshadow." Now you're ready to leave." With a smile that mimic hers, we both walk to the others, Thor waiting for us. He is in his Midgard disguise." Alright, I'm ready, let's go! See you guys later!" I even sound like her. It's actually kind of creepy. We get into a car and I drive to the hospital.

We walk down the busy hallways and to my dad's room, which he has by himself. I walk in, Thor standing in front the door. He looks at me weakly." What business does two Avengers have with me?" I smile, taking chair beside him, transforming ack to myself. I tear up." (y/n)? Is it really you? Your an Avenger now?" His voice is shaky and hoarse, his hands shaking to reach me. He is crying and I break down. I take his hand and caress it." I'm so sorry we kicked you out... W-we just didn't know how t-to handle it a-and." I shush him down with a forgiving hug." I know. I would be happy to be a part of the family again." I smile and he tells me how proud he is of me. I ask him about the hospital." I'm getting my kidney removed. But will you be visiting us anytime soon?" I nod, looking at Thor." Dad, this is Thor, one of my coworkers and good friend! And Thor, this is (d/n), my dad." They greet each other with an awkward silence and he retake his seat by the door." Does your mom know? What about (b/s/n)? Or your friend?" I shake my head with a slight smile." But I plan to. Maybe next time I come home." He asks me when that will be, but I shrug, unsure of it.

After a long while of talking, we have to leave because visiting hour is over. I transform back to Natasha and leave the hospital. I wish I could've stayed longer. As if reading my thoughts, Thor lays a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I look up at him to see him smile back." Thanks Thor. You're a good friend." He nods and we sit in the car." Lady (y/n), would it be alright for you if we could pass a Walmart? I have no pop tarts left." I let out a chuckle and drive to Walmart." You know you can just call me by my name." I laugh

We wander through the big place and buy five boxes of different pop tarts, soda, some doughnuts, bags of peanuts and other nuts and chocolate. I smile satisfied with our stuff. Heading towards the exit, an idea pops into my head. I go to the toy section and look at the teddy bears." I'll buy one for everyone!" I exclaim and take 12 bears in different brown shades and black and grey. They all have some kind of resemblance to the members. I spot one with small antlers on it and think of Loki. I'll buy him that one! I smile and tell Thor to stand in line and wait for me. I stand in my own line and stand by the exit by the gift stop. I pack them all up and return to Thor with three bags. I pay for the snacks and we leave." What else did you buy, lady (y/n)?" I avoid the question to the best of my abilities and he stops trying eventually. We change subject and turn on the music. I can't wait to surprise them.

To my luck, everyone is here. I greet them and quickly join the conversation. I know the team is a bit split, but sometimes they hold meetings to catch up and make up a plan for the upcoming months and such. I've joined in a few times and left when it got heated. Today, the topic seems to be about Loki mostly." It'll most likely turn into an argument, so you might want to step out of this meeting and watch Loki today." Steve warns me. I nod before remembering the gifts." Guys, I have something for you before I join the god!" I take the packaged bears and give them out one by one. The last two I hide. Once they're open, the team give me a smile. They can see why I bought these. Although, Tony questioned it and acted annoyed, he takes it nonetheless." Welp, I'll be going now! Have a nice meeting!" I take the chocolate with me and wave them bye.

I open the door to his cell and lock it." Well, look who is back! I thought you were on break." Loki starts, smirking my way. I hand him the gift and take up my own bear. He opens it quickly as a kid on Christmas day. I smile when he holds the bear in his hands. He stare at the antlers." Why?" Is all he asks me, staring at my bear." I got one for everyone and picked the ones which reminds me of you people. In your case, the antlers, mine is the eyes, and the others as well." Even if he looks disappointed or dismissive of it, he hugs it happily." Thank you. It's the first gift I've had in years." I laugh and sit closer to him against the glass. We talk, trying our best to ignore the loud voices upstairs.
We talk and watch all team members walking into the room." Like I said, we can trust her! Everything is under control." Tony says with confidence to Scott." Yeah, but you let him out for two days with only (y/n)! That is irresponsible. And besides, how do we know he is not controlling her." Despite not being present at the New York fight, he already is against the god. I look at him to see his shining eyes grow dark and cold as our conversation turn silent. I butt into the conversation." I do medical check-ups every day and regularly strengthen my powers." I reasure him." Now get out! You're ruining our conversation and mood." I convince them to leave after a long argument and sigh." Sorry about that! Want chocolate?" We split it up and continue where we left off. Our conversation is broken again by the alarm of emergency mission.
