TODAY'S TOPIC:: ❝resources

DISCLAMER
this book is for mobile/tablet editors.

in order to achieve some very pleasing graphics, sure, you need practice and of course, good resources. today, i am going to tell you all where i (used to) get my resources from.

1. PINTEREST
a big no-no if you wanna look for backgrounds there since a lot of work there has been stolen from other sites and then uploaded there. it has both an app and a website version. however, that place is good for getting the pictures or references. make sure that it isn't a (stolen) fanart or edit before doing anything else with it.

2. DEVIANTART
literally one of the best places for resources like backgrounds and pngs. you just have to follow a few simple things. usually, the creators of these resources would mention however they want you to credit them and rules of how you can use their resources. and mind you, it is also basic human decency to credit someone from their hardwork. just a few steps. most of them don't even ask for a follow, just simple credits and linking it back to them. look now, how simple is that? deviantart also has both website and app versions.

3. UNSPLASH
this too, is similar to deviantart but the only difference is that this is only for backgrounds, not pngs. crediting the creators of the pictures is pretty easy. just mention that the resource you used is from (enter username). both website and app versions are available.

4. SHUTTERSTOCK
i use this app/website once in a blue moon, specifically when i am uncapable of wording my ideas. and by this i mean that shutterstock would show you a stock photo of a man wearing a hoodie when all you search for is, "hoodie boy". i know, this seems ridiculous but it does kind of work like that. however, the photos are not free. you have to pay a subscription. worry not, deviantart and unplash already got you covered.

5. PNG WEBSITES
there are tons of png websites out there. however, i, as a picky and angry hormonal teenager with trust issues, only rely on a few of them. the websites here are ranked.
1. toppng.com
2. pngtree.com
3. cleanpng.com

pngtree doesn't let you download more than 2 png's day unless you have a paid subscription. so, in that case, you can use the other two!
