On set with Tom Hiddleston

Chapter 16- Alone

You woke up the next morning feeling, slightly better about last night. That didn't change the fact that you were still upset that it was all over. You checked your phone like you did every morning and saw that you had 10 missed calls from Tom. 7  voicemails from him and a load of texts, you decided to ignore them all and that you would talk to him when you were ready.

You got out of bed at around 11 and saw Chris sitting with Scarlett on the couch waiting for you to awaken. Even though Chris had a girlfriend, you were his best friend first and he would prioritise you over everyone. He stood up and held his arms out.

"Come here Butterfly, you look tired." He said to you.

You didn't care that he called you that, he was trying to comfort you. You walked into his open arms and hugged him tight. He picked you up and sat you down on the couch between him and Scarlett, you cuddled up with both of them and watched a film together. Halfway through the film, Chris got a text from Tom.

"I've got to go, my agent might have a role for me, I'll be back later." Giving Scarlett a quick kiss on the cheek, Chris reached into his pocket and gave Scarlett his card. "Take yourselves shopping, you both deserve it."

Chris stepped outside to see Tom still sitting there, and you still didn't know he was outside. Tom looked like a mess, like he never moved last night and he hasn't stopped crying.

*Chris and Tom's conversation*

"Chris I've messed up big time, I was so drunk last night. I said things I shouldn't have said and I wish I could take it all back. I feel so guilty. I could hear her crying last night before Scarlett arrived. I just wanted to hold her in my arms and tell her everything was going to be okay." He was about to tear up again.

"It's not me you need to tell this to, Tom, It's y/n."

"I already have, check her phone. I left so many voicemails and texts. She's been ignoring me all morning."

"Well I don't blame her, that argument was vicious from what I heard. She is sitting on the couch right now, and she's coping with what was probably one of the worst moments of her life." Chris told him.

"There's no need to make me feel more guilty than I already do. I just love her so much and I was so angry about last night" Tom broke down.

Chris comforted him on the floor. "Come on, let's get you home and sorted out"

*Y/n and Scarlett's conversation*

"Are you ready to go shopping?" Scarlett asked in excitement.

You had cheered up a lot since you decided to go shopping.

"Yes, I am indeed." You replied.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Scarlett pulled you out of the door and you headed down the stairs. But you saw Tom on the floor with Chris he was still crying, he looked like he had his heart ripped out. Seeing him like that upset you but you didn't show it, you and Scarlett just kept on walking.

"He's been there all night, he hasn't moved since you kicked him out." Scarlett told you.

You were trying to fight back the tears. "I regret last night so much, we were both drunk and didn't know what we were saying." Your voice began to break "I still love him Scarlett." You weren't able to stop the tears from falling this time.

"Come y/n, everything will be alright. Besides, we have a few grand to spend"

You wiped your tears from your face and continued to walk to the car with Scarlett.

*Sometime later*

It was around 6 and you and Scarlett had finished with shopping. You were now at home with your own company as Scarlett had to go and deal with something with Chris.

For Tom, he was also home alone as Chris left him to go and do something with Scarlett.

Seeing each other earlier completely broke you both, you both love each other so much, but too much was said last night for you two to try again.

*Chris and Scarlett*

Tom and Y/n didn't know this but they both came up with a plan to reunite the couple again and get them back together. They knew that they both still loved each other, and clearly, each minute they spent away from each other was a misery for them.

They both went into work and told Kevin and Jon everything that happened and that by getting y/n and Tom to re-film the beginning scene again, they would both realise they still love each other and get back together.

"It sounds like a good plan," Kevin said.

"But what if it's too risky and makes them worse?" Jon added.

"Then that's a problem we will have to be prepared for." Scarlett told them.

Now that they had Kevin and Jon on board, all they needed to do was to get Y/n and Tom back into work ready to get them back together.

*Back at home*

It was around 8pm and you got a text from work.

*The following actors need to return to set for a reshoot of scene 1, act 1*

You rolled your eyes at the screen knowing exactly what scene it was going to be, you continued reading the text.

*Tom Hiddleston, Y/n-Y/l/n, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth*

'Hmmmm that's weird, I don't remember them two being in this scene' you thought to yourself.

But oh well, it's your job to act and beside you were bound to see Tom again eventually. Thankfully, Kevin and Jon didn't delay the inevitable and you knew that deep down that, no matter how much of a prick he acted the night before, you still loved him and missed him dearly.

*Tom's house*

Obviously Tom got the same text as you. He also didn't want to have to face you tomorrow, but he missed you, so there was a part of him that was willing to endure the pain so that he could have the chance to reconcile. If he attempts to fix the mistake he made and that ended up ruining the relationship forever, he would have to live with it.

It was around 11 when both Tom and y/n decided to go to bed, so they felt well rested for tomorrow. Both slept with butterflies in their stomach feeling anxious about the next morning as only God knows what will happen. The possibilities looked endless, with bad outcomes seeming far more likely than good ones.
