Chapter 17- Reunited

You woke up the next morning at around 9 to get ready for work, which started at 10:30. you looked a bit rough since the break-up with Tom so you decided to put an effort in on what you wore to work today.

You showered and used the expensive stuff to make yourself smell nice, you left your hair in its natural state, did some light eye makeup, put on a turtle neck with a tartan skirt, applied some perfume. Finally, you drank your coffee and ate your toast just in time to make your way into work.

*At work*

You arrived at work just on time and headed to hair and makeup. For some reason today you seemed happier than the last few days, but you just couldn't figure out why. 'Maybe it's because I get to see Tom?' You thought to yourself. The butterflies you felt from last night refused to settle, they were still strong as ever, with no sign of going away.

Once Cindy did all your hair and makeup, you headed straight to set, still slightly nervous to see Tom again. It felt like forever since you last saw him but in reality it has only been 3 days. You arrived on set and so did Tom, you both locked eyes with each other, you both showed no emotion or expression but on the inside you were both so happy to see each other, you thought you would break the ice and be the one to talk to Tom first.

"Hey, I can't believe we've been called in to film this scene again. Crazy right?" You said to him as you laughed nervously.

"Yes. I have to say it is a bit weird." He replied not making eye contact with you, for some reason he was staring at your neck.

"You still wear the necklace?" He said to you with a slight smile on his face.

"yes, someone very special to me brought it for me. It's my favourite piece of jewellery I own," You smiled back at him.

You were so glad things weren't awkward between you both and you could have a normal conversation still. When you told Tom about your necklace, you saw his eyes light up, you were so in love with the fact that he still cared for you even after everything.

You had been on set for about twenty minutes, Kevin and Jon finally told you to get into your places.

"Here we go." Scarlett said to Chris, who was waiting in anticipation. Lucky for them Scarlett and Chris were dressed as crew members so they didn't stick out and get caught by Tom and y/n.

"This better work Scarlett," Kevin whispered.

"Don't worry it will, have faith" She replied.

"Alright guys, just act it out like you normally do and then we can go over the notes I have from the editor," Jon said to the two actors.

"And ACTION!" Kevin yelled.

All the crew sat and watched nervously to see what was about to happen.

Kevin called action and the butterflies in your stomach had gotten worse. 'God I just want Tom back' you said to yourself. You took a deep breath and began the scene.

"I have waited a hundred years, and I will wait a million more, if it meant I could be with you," Tom said the most famous line of the film and you saw a tear roll down his cheek.

All though you acted the emotions in this scene many times before, you knew that the emotions this time were very real. You both meant every word you said.

"Well why don't you prove it to me?" You voice broke as you felt more tears run down your face.

The rain started to fall and Tom walked over to you, ready for the kiss. He did his usual, he looked you in the eyes and pulled you in ready for the kiss. It was about to happen, you were finally going to kiss Tom. This is when you finally realised that the butterflies in your stomach have drifted away. You both leant into the kiss when someone spoke...

It was Tom, he completely broke character.

"Wait..." He said.

Scarlett looked around at all the boys. "See, I told you it would work"

"Y/n. I am so sorry for the way I acted that night, I didn't mean any of it. I was drunk, I was stupid, I was unfair, I lied, I didn't listen and most importantly I hurt you and that is something I will never forgive myself for." He started to tear up and so did you.

"Y/n I still lo-" You interrupted him.

You have been waiting for this moment for too long (Even though its only been 3 days), the day when you and Tom would finally kiss again, finally feel his touch again. You felt so happy, so happy he apologised for being an idiot and hurting, so happy that he still loved you. You were so close to being an emotional wreck.

You grabbed his shirt and pulled him in closer. "Tom, just shut up and kiss me already" You smiled at him. He went in for the kiss.

It was perfect, you felt so overwhelmed. So many emotions coursing through your veins. You felt so safe now that you were back in Tom's arms again.

Tom pulled away. "But y/n I really am-"

You pulled him back in and pulled the same trick he pulled on you many, many months ago.

"I'm not finished yet"

You kissed each other once more, it was so passionate, so real, so..

"Alright guys I think we can cut now" Kevin said.

"Everyone clear out, let them have their moment," Jon said as all the crew left the set.

Still kissing each other you didn't even realise they left the set.

You both pulled away this time. "I love you Tom. I'm so sorry for everything," You said innocently as you looked into his eyes.

"Shhh" He placed his finger against your lip. "There's nothing to apologies for, it was all my fault,"

You locked eyes with each other once more, not letting go for at least a couple of seconds. "I love you too" He finally replied, he kissed you once more.

That's when Chris and Scarlett walked in. "So you two are back together I see" Scarlett said.

You both looked at each other and laughed.

"Yeah I suppose we are," Tom said holding your hand.

"Good I'm glad. I couldn't take you two being apart for much longer." Chris added.

"Now since we are finally done filming. No more call backs, why don't we go to Palmers and celebrate properly?"

"I'm down," Tom replied

"Same here," Chris said

Everyone looked at you waiting for a reply "Count me in,"

"Good, now boys why don't you go get changed at Tom's and me and y/n will get changed at hers. Just like old times." Scarlett said.

"Sounds like a plan. Meet at Palmers at 6?" Chris asked.

"6 indeed." Scarlett said in return.

Both men walked off and made their way to the car. You and Scarlett stayed back for a bit.

"So, whose idea was it then?" You questioned her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Saying as she laughed.

You walked up to Scarlett and gave her a huge hug.

"Thank you," You whispered in her ear.

She tapped you on the back "You're welcome." She whispered in return.

"Now, I think it's time to head home and get ready for our date, don't you think?" She asked you.

"I think so," You replied.

Linking arms you and Scarlett skipped to the car and drove to your apartment to get ready for the night ahead.
