Her secret

      When we arrived at the house Tessa, Olivia and Emerald were waiting for us, “What took so long?” Emerald said  “Sorry, Emberlyn got lost.” “It's okay we should head inside tho.”Emerald said as she was walking inside. We go inside and I bring Emberlyn to my room so that she can put her stuff down. “Was that your mom?” “Oh God No! That was Emerald, my eldest sister!” I say laughing “Oh what is she doing here?” Emberlyn askes “She takes care of us while my parents are away.” I reply “Oh, that's cool!” “ yeah i guess, she is kinda bossy tho” “ yeah but sometimes that's a good thing don't you think?” Emberlyn asked “Yeah!” “Blakely it's time!” Tessa says walking in my room “Time for what Tessa?” Emberly askes “We have something to ask you? Would you mind coming downstairs?’’ Emerald says yelling up the stairs. We head downstairs and Emberlyn looks confused but scared. “Are You okay?’’ I ask “Yeah I'm just confused on what we would need to talk about. Is it house rules or something?” she says “ no its not house rules but it is important you will she when we get done there. Ok?” “okay sounds good”. We get downstairs and Tessa, Olivia and Emerald were sitting on the couch.  “ Take a seat girls.” Emerald says. We sit down and Emberlyn still has that look on her face. “I have a question for you Emberlyn” Emerald says
     “ What is it?” she said with a crack in her voice. “ So Olivia noticed that you had a tattoo on your side, When did you get it?” Emerald Says “Ok i haven't told anyone about this not even Christan, But on my 16th birthday i felt a sting on my side and it was just there i have no idea how it got there! I was scared to tell anyone because I thought they would think that I'm crazy”  Emberlyn said, “She Is one of us!!!” Olivia blurts out “one of what?” After that we had shown her ours. “We have them too, and we all got ours on our 16th birthday, Have you ever done anything you couldn't explain?” I ask “Well there was this one time, my mom and I got in a fight and I slammed my door and it caught on fire. I didn't know what to think of it, it’s not exactly one of my best moments.” Emberlyn adds “Well let us show you why that happened'' Tessa says. Tessa presses a button and a screen comes up (Kinda like a hologram). It was showing a group of people, “This is the council, They are the ones that keep our kind together and not turn against each other, the two in the middle those are the elders.” “Our Kind?”                 “Yes our kind, we are a thing called prodigals'' tessa says “We have powers!” i add. We all get up to show Emberlyn, we head outside first because I can't very well do mine in the house.  “Stand right there and give me a second.'' I say while jumping into the air, bright rings form around me as my wings form.

             “Holy shit!” Emberlyn says shook “and that's not all” Tessa says
“What else could she possibly do?” “watch the sky” Olivia says
I put my hands up while moving the clouds. “ that was bonkers!” Emberlyn exclames,  "They haven't even reached the surface of their powers.” Emerald says raising her hand as a green glow emits and the ground begins to rumble as a vine sprouts from the ground and wraps around Emberlyns leg,” this is so crazy.” Emerlyn says as the vine slowly unravels from around her legs.” Well if everyone is showing off their powers, I might as well show mine too.” Tessa states turning invisible. “ That is so cool Tessa,” Emberyn says,” "And I can control the timeline. I suppose it doesn't always really work in my favor, I guess I'm just not the best at controlling it yet.” Olivia says to the rest of the group," I'm sure you'll get it under control eventually." Emberlyn says, *ring ring* my phone sounds, as I answer it I hear my mother's voice," Hello dear, we have detected two new prodigals in your area, and the elders have requested that you find them." My mother says,"Well mother, we have already found one, her name is Emberlyn she's 16 and a fire soul. There is also a chance that her brother is the other prodigal you detected." I told her, "good job, we will hold a formal dinner for the introduction the day after tomorrow, as to give you time ,""sounds like a plan I'll tell the girls, and have Emberlyn invite Christan." "Sounds like a plan, me and your father, will be arriving home tomorrow evening, I expect you to complete shopping for everything you need Sunday, by tomorrow evening and that goes for everyone, because you know Olivia won't want to dress up." "Yes mother I'll tell everyone,I love you and I will see you tomorrow evening, bye." I said hanging up,"Okay girls, mother and father will be back tomorrow evening, to hold a formal dinner to give Emberlyn her pendent and find out what her spirit is, and record her gifts." I told the girls," she expects us to have finished getting our dresses and ext. by tomorrow when they arrive home, Emberlyn I will be paying for anything you need for the party, oh and could you invite your brother so that we can see if he is one of us also, but please don't tell him the true meaning of the party until we are positive he is one of us." " Will do I'll text him now, and thank you for paying for my things, I do have one question though?" " Shoot" I tell her," well what exactly is a pendent?" " It's basically a power dampener so our powers don't go out of control." Emerald tells her.          "Makes sense" blakely replys." Yessss we get to go shopping, and get our nails done, and get all dressed up." Tessa rambles," Tessa calm down your rambling again." Emerald tells her, "okay girls bright and early tomorrow we're going shopping for everything, so get a good night's rest." Emerald tells us all.
