The weeks following rens mother's passing was hard. Tonight was even harder, although she told kuroo she forgave him she continued to have nightmares about the months before her mother's passing the day she walked into kuroos house.
She woke in a cold sweat, nights like this when she woke like this she'd call suna so that's exactly what she did.
"Hello?" He groaned clearly just woken
"H-hey" she felt bad for waking him
"Ren? Is everything okay?" Worry laced his voice
"Jus-just a-another bad dream I'm sorry I shouldn't have woke you" she sighed and looked out her window at the bright moon
"It's fine do you want to talk about it? How bad was it?" He had sat up in bed ready to listen
"Can I see you" she sighed regret washed over her, of course not it's like 3am
"Yes" he said without hesitation, he got up out of bed and she could hear movement
"Really?" She was shocked
"I'm on my way, do you want me to stay on the phone?" He slipped his shoes on
"Please" she sat back her back on the cold wood bed frame.
They stayed on the phone no words spoken only soft breathing. Ren heard a small tap on her window she looked over to see suna standing there his phone still to his ear. When she spotted him he removed the phone. She walked over opening the window and he jumped through.
"So did you want to talk about it?" He sat on her bed and she sat on the edge looking out the window he was behind her.
"Well it was a nightmare but more like a memory" she started then took a deep breathe "it was the day I walked in on kuroo, I never told anyone but I had gone over there to tell him the good news about my mom, the doctor told us there was hope because her tests started to look better, it had been such a good day and he was the first person I wanted to tell" she let out a grunt.
"Shit I'm really sorry ren" he dropped his head.
"That's not the worst part" she started again "when I walked in at first it was him then it's like someone flipped a switch and it wasn't daytime anymore it was night and his face changed" she stopped taking a deep breathe "it-it was you, he changed into you, I don't know why I mean we aren't together so it makes no sense" she ran her fingers through her hair and let out a small laugh "stupid right?!" She shook her head.
"It's not stupid" suna whispered "I want you to know I'd never do something like that"
She turned and looked at him the moon light cased shadows on his face making his eyes sparkle and his features soft.
"If you were mine you'd never have to doubt, never have to worry, I'd do everything I could to make you happy" he looked away.
Ren moved over now sat in front of him "then why am I not? I don't understand do you want me suna, I know I have baggage, but I want that I don't want to worry anymore or doubt" she looked at her hands that sat in her lap.
"Of course I do, I just thought you needed time" he sighed
"I don't, I need you" she looked up to see he was already looking at her.
Suna placed a hand on her face before pulling her in and connecting the lips.
