"But w-what if t-they find out? I-I don't want y-you hurt b-because of m-me!" He cried, holding onto his lover tight, soft sobs erupted from his throat. Eric hugged back, running through Paul's hair with his hands, "Don't worry Inky, you know I can take it." He replied coolly, gently patting the tall lover's back. When Paul's parents found out about Eric's sexuality, they were livid to delicately put it, prohibiting Paul from looking at Eric, let alone talk to him, even going so far as to request the school to put specific orders for the lovers to never interact. Of course, the school principal had enough common sense to decline it, why on earth would the school separate the two boys for seemingly no explanation?
"I-I know you can take I-it! I don't w-want you t-to! I can't b-bare to see you hurt!" Paul cried, pulling away to lock eyes with the lustrous green eyes he fell in love with, those same eyes now shone with despondence, agonised at the sight of his sweetheart weeping and wailing. Eric gave his signature lopsided grin, clasping Paul's hands tightly, "I won't get injured, just for you my little ink bottle." Paul let out a little giggle, wiping the tears from his eyes, no matter what happens to the two, somehow, Eric can cheer him up with a snap of his fingers. His soothing deep voice, that handsome face, his nonchalant attitude to life, his love of writing, everything about him made Paul fall head over heels for the smaller male.
Eric continued holding onto the taller male, Paul now lying on the bed together with him. All he wanted was to get through school with his lover by his side, what's so wrong about that? Paul yawned as he snuggled against Eric's chest, his eyes getting droopy. "Get some sleep Inky, you need it,"
"N-noo.....I w-wanna be awake w-with y-you...." Paul softly whined, gently pushing himself upwards towards Eric's neck. "A-and who'll w-wake you u-up a-at dawn....?"
"It's alright Inky, I can get up and get out of here before your parents start suspecting me of being here." Eric chuckled, cradling his lover, lulling Paul to sleep.
"O-ok......I-I'll see you I-in the morning a-at school......night n-night Ery....." Paul whispered as he closed his eyes, leaving the smaller lover with his thoughts. Eric loved Paul more than anything in the world, a cheerful and innocent fella, cute in appearance, his fascination with art, everything made Eric smitten for Paul. Those vibrant purple, fading to void black hair, that little blue baseball cap he wears backwards, those simplistic yet fitting wear of a white t-shirt and brown shorts, those lovely pastel purple knee-high socks, those ankle-high cobalt blue sneakers. Oh, how he looks stunning with such clothes that would be must on anyone else. He was so happy to call Paul his beloved little ink bottle.
As the minutes pass, soon Eric starts to get sleepy as well, the warmth and cushiony feeling from Paul cuddling him. And as he closes his eyes, a small whisper escapes Paul's lips, "I love you Ery......."
A door slammed wide, jolting both lovers up, footsteps stormed down the hallway, becoming ever louder and louder. Eric took this as a sign to get the hell out of there.
"PAUL! EXPLAIN WHY ERIC'S PARENTS TEXTED ME THAT HE'S AT OUR HOUSE?!" A stern voice screamed at the top of their lungs, causing the two to panic even more than they were already were.
"Inky. Come with me." Eric muttered, grasping onto Paul's delicate hands.
"W-what?! I-I can't d-do t-that! W-what Will h-happen if I d-did?!" Paul whispered loudly, a sense of shock rang through his body, Eric wants Paul to follow him? Oh god, the trouble that will happen!
"Inky.....please. You know that if you stay you're gonna get hurt.....I don't want that. Cmon, we can do and dip to Blake's house, they can't find us there, since they don't know where Red lives." Eric hurriedly pulled him closer to the window, it was a two-floored jump, they could make it with minor injuries.
"PAUL?! YOU BETTER OPEN THE DOOR THIS INSTANT OR WE WILL!" The voice screamed louder, the doorknob starting to shake and jerk. Paul gave a worried glance at Eric, Eric's stoic expression softening seeing the taller shake in fear. Eric jumped down from the window, landing with a resounding thud, and motioned for Paul to follow. The taller male wavered, looking back at the door in hesitance, seeing it shake and vibrate at the force of his parents trying to break the door open. In a hurry, Paul grabs his most important things, his favourite scarf, his laptop And marker set, and jumps after Eric.
The two lovers start to book it through the streets, the faint sound of a door being busted down made them run faster and faster. A car getting started made the duo dive into an alleyway, hoping they'd drive past them. They waited in anticipation, Paul clinging onto Eric in terror, he just ran away from his parents, how mad will they be? How would his sister react to Paul running off? She was at a friends house for a group sleepover, she doesn't know what happened, what WOULD happen if they meet in the school hallway?
As the minutes pass by, Eric took a small peak out of the alleyway, no vehicle in sight. "I think they're gone...." Eric sighed, a huge sense of relief washed over the two lovers. Paul hugged Eric tightly, the events that will transpire in the future unknown. "Inky.....no matter what happens, I won't let you get hurt, or let anything separate us apart." Eric's whisper comforted the shy boy, locking eyes with those seafoam green eyes he fell in love with. Eric took his phone out, and messaged the red wearing friend of theirs, sending a message explaining what had happened.
'Got Inky. Otw to your house. Let Steven know what happened.'
