I'll try to make this as realistic as possible, so this is going to be s slow burn. Also I'm planning for this to be a friends to lovers story.

The last thing I wanted to say is that the first 4 chapters are not going to include Rodrick. It's about the characters past, so you can really relate to her actions, motives and get to know her a little better. If you're really not into background stories you can just skip to chapter 5. I'll try to make this as interesting as possible.
