The Energy of Life

3rd POV:

Right now, Roy was in the outskirts of the kingdom in Death Forest. He was hunting Dark Wolves for his quest he got from Tanya. Let's see how he's doing now in the forest......

Roys POV:

I was walking through the forest, looking for the dark wolves. I was getting bored of trying to look for them so I need to find a way to get them to come to me instead.

Roy: Right now it's the afternoon so maybe if I do this......

I bit my thumb and let the blood drip on the ground. At this time of day they're probably hunting so the smell of human blood might draw them in. I was waiting there for five minutes until I narrowly dodged and attacked from behind. I sidestepped the unknown entity and looked around. They're in front of me were 3 dark wolves.

Roy: So you finally came out of hiding. Must say I'm impressed that you almost got me. Let's just see if your bite is worse than your bark!

I ran up to the one in the middle of the two and punched it on the nose to dull it senses. I then sweeped its legs so that it would fall to its side on the ground. I then used my hand and impaled it through the chest. It was struggling to get away which only made it bleed out more until it died. One of the other wolves tried to come from my left side which I also avoided. It landed on my right and then went to reposition itself to come charging at me but I responded by round house kicking it into a nearby tree. I probably damaged its spinal cord so it wouldn't be moving for a while.

Now it was just me and the last wolf. It was a bit different from the other ones because it was slightly bigger and has a white circle on its forehead. I'm guessing this one's the leader. I got into a fighting stance and let out a bit of killing intent.

Roy: You're not really that much of a leader, are you? You stood in the background and watched your subordinates die. Kind of pathetic don't you think?

The beast growled as it lunged towards me trying to bite down on my neck. I dodged it and tried punching it but it's skin was hard as hell. I saw that my knuckles were bleeding. It was fast and coming at me from all sides. I could barely block most of the attacks. I saw that some weird shadow was forming around its paw as it charged at me and tried to get me with its claws. I dodged to my left and readjusted myself back into my fighting position. That's when I heard the sound of a tree falling. I looked behind me and I realize that one of the trees was cut down by that attack.

Roy: *Thoughts* Well it's obvious that this guy is no pushover. Guess I should get serious then. I only get one shot at this so I gotta time it perfectly.

Me and the wolf leader we're basically running circles around each other, trying to find any blindspot's in the others defense. I didn't realize that one of my sides was unguarded and he knew that too. He raced over towards my left side and opened his jaws wide......

Roy: Got you.

I kicked it to the side hard enough that it staggered when it hit the ground. As it was slowly getting up I got into position. The leader got up and charged me again from the front. He lunged at me trying to aim for my neck until......

Roy: Spear Thrust

I quickly straightened out my hand and arm into a spear-like shape as I stabbed it through the leaders chest. Suffice to say it should be lucky it died instantly. I pulled my arm out of the wolf leader and went to the other wolf from earlier that was by the tree and finished it off.

Roy: Well now that that's taken care of, time to put fuel in the fire.

I sat down where I was standing in a cross legged position. I felt the spiritual energy of the wolves flow into my daitin.

Roy: It's good that my martial arts are still effective in this world. The dark spiritual energy of these wolves will nourish my Yin side.

[Resonance of the Sun and Moon]. This was the martial arts that I have culminated and made my own, a fighting style so fearsome that it gave me the power to rule over the realms in only a decade. This martial art creates a core of chi within my body with two halves, one of Yin and one of Yang. The Yin absorbs fallen enemies spiritual power and becomes stronger the more negative emotions and energy that's consumed. Yang, however, is fueled by positive emotions and energy around it.

Roy: I think it's about time I get those other seventeen Dark Wolves I promised Tanya.

*2 hours later*

3rd POV:

Roy had finally gathered up twenty Dark Wolf corpses, five of which were leaders. Roy decided that to train himself he would carry all twenty of the wolves on his back to the guild. He got some vines that he found in the forest and tied the wolves with it to make sure they wouldn't fall. Eventually he used the remaining vines to make straps and put them on his back.

Roy: I think this thing weighs around a thousand pounds. *Chuckles to himself* That's excellent!

Roy then proceeded to jog for an hour back to the guild. On the way there, he got a lot of stares from people that were full of confusion and disbelief.

When Roy got in front of the guild, he set down the wolves near the entrance and asked for one of the guards to bring out Tanya.

Instead of just Tanya coming out, everyone else in the guild came out as well. All of them had a very angry expression on their face while Tanya was standing in front of them with a cheerful smile. There was one person who stood out the most though.

???: There's no way in hell that's real!

Well I was absolutely confused about what was going on. Tanya went up to him.

Roy: Hey Tanya, what happened while I was gone?

Tanya: Well it sort of went something like this......
