This chapter a bit boring but it's basically an introduction to the setting, no edits yet.
Tony & KD
"Yo Kev I'mma be out all day and I'm taking the car bro, s'that good with you?" Tony asked, tapping his fingers on the marble kitchen countertop as he stop in his tracks, car keys already in hand to glance at his younger brother Kevin who was halfway through a spoonful of cereal.
Kevin swallowed and lifted a brow, "Where are you going?" he asked in a scruff morning voice before scratching his beard nonchalantly.
Tony blinked, "I'm just going out with friends, friends...," he paused, "which are something you should make."
Kevin scoffed as he stirred his cereal then looked back up at Tony, "Too many fake people in this rich two-faced town."
"Not everyone is that bad," Tony shrugged. Kevin let the spoon lean against the side of the bowl before he bunched his hands up in fists and rested them on the table, "Well maybe if people stopped trying so hard with their orange ass tans and plastic surgery I'd actually make a decent friend."
Tony rolled his eyes, "Bro, you used to have friends all the time back in DC, what happened to you nigga?"
Kevin's eyes narrowed, "Nothing. I just realized that everyone feeds off of me for their own toxic benefits but when I'm down they won't even give a fucker a glance. Either that or hoes just be disappearing on you even after y'all had the time of your life together."
"You so negative man, actin' like someone killed ya dog," Tony waved off as he opened the door, "But I'm serious bro," he said before stepping out, "Make some friends."
Kevin sighed and finished the last of his cereal. Friends huh? Friends have never done anything for him but turn on him, hurt him or move away when they get too close. Shit was a curse, Kevin's already low expectations would be broken every single time.
