Violet

Chapter 4

Chapter 4 -

A couple of months back-

Autumn was waiting for her guy to get home. She was ready to talk about something that was bothering her. She did not know this was the beginning of something she never saw coming. Autumn had just got done talking to Violet for while. Autumn heard him come and the door slams. Autumn felt like he was going to notice her. She looked at him and he saw her.

 "Can we talk?" Autumn asked him

"We can talk later." He said 

Autumn just got quiet because she did not want trouble. Autumn wants to talk about them. He came back in and she decides it was time. He was angry which mean he was going to not want to talk. She let it go for a couple of nights. He came home and she tried again. Autumn asked if they could talk. This time he slapped her and she did not even let him see her crying. She decides if he did it one more time she was going to leave. That night she decides to talk to him even if he did not want to hear it. 

"I have been trying to talk to you about something. I feel like you don't want me. I feel like you don't even love me. What you just did was a sign of it. I am getting tired of being good. I have been trying to find out what I did wrong. I think we need to fix this or I am going to leave." She explained to him

He hit her which knocked her to the floor. He had been drinking again. When he went to bed, she was sitting in the living room. She decides that night she was leaving when he was gone. This had got to the point he was never going to stop. She looked around and figured she would move slowly. She called Violet that night. The phone rang twice before Violet answers. 

"You know what time it is. I am trying to sleep." Violet said in a sleepy tone

"Sorry Sis, I need to talk. I understand if you cannot right now." Autumn said

Violet could tell something was wrong. Violet gets up which wakes up her ex-boyfriend. Violet whispers it is her sister. The guy slides up and waits.

 "What wrong sis?" Autumn said 

"He hit me again. I was trying to explain what I was feeling. He had been drinking again and he hit so hard. I hit the ground. I did not cry this time until he was in the bedroom. I am hurting and now I think I need to leave. I do not know where I would go this time. You got that guy and I don't want a bother. I need to get out but I don't know how." Autumn said

Violet looked over her shoulder at him. He knew what this means. He reached up to turn the ceiling fan light back on. He got up to get dress. 

"Sister, David is getting dressed. He will come to get you for the night. We will work for the rest later." Violet explained 

David leaves and Violet keeps talking to Autumn. 

"You know that David and I have broken up. He is leaving in a couple of weeks. I will have this house to myself. We will have to talk about this more when David is gone. I mean I can let you live here. We will talk about it more after David leaves. Tonight you are going to stay here." Violet said"

What? I thought you and him were going to stay together." Autumn said

Autumn looked out to see the headlight flashed. Autumn hang up and David let Violet know he got Autumn. Violet went back to sleep while she waited. She woke up when she heard the door open. She grabbed the bat that she kept next to the bed. Then she realized it was them. She put the bat back and went to see what happen. 

"Be still. I need to clean them." David said

"It hurts," Autumn said

Violet came in to see that David was cleaning her cut and bruises. Autumn looked over at Violet. She was crying from hurting. She hugged her sister. David was able to clean the cuts while Autumn was not paying attention.
