Chapter 5

Violet woke up to see that they had fallen to sleep on the couch. Autumn was still sleeping. She looked around and saw that it was just starting to get daylight. Violet moves slowly to keep from making a lot of noise. She went into the kitchen and looked around. She decides to fire up the coffee. Autumn woke up and saw that Violet was gone. Autumn saw that the light is on in the kitchen. She went to see that Violet was there. 

"I did not want to wake you up. I decide to start the coffee. I hope I did not wake you up." Violet said

Autumn shook her head no. She sat down at the table. Violet reach her hand over and land on Autumn's hand. She could tell that Autumn is hurting. Autumn saw that Violet was trying to help. Autumn looked over to the door. She was trying to hide the emotions. It made Violet get up to get the coffee for her. She looked over at Autumn. 

"Here is your coffee. I will be back in a minute or two." Violet said

Autumn just sat there drinking her coffee. Violet came in and gave something to her. Autumn puts down her coffee cup. She looked at it and look at her. 

"VICTORIA! WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS?" Autumn yelled 

"Sorry." She said afterward

"I Found it a while back when he left. I kept it hidden. I thought it might be a good time to show you. I don't even know where it was before." Violet said

Autumn put the artwork down. Violet looked sad. She thought Autumn did not like it. Autumn got up and hugged her. 

"I love it. It is like you know the whole time. You did not ask because you did not want to hurt me. This looked like an angel looking at me." Autumn said

They decide to change and go looking for a job. Violet went to the art supply store she goes to all the time. This would good start for her due to knowing the store. She went inside and asked the employee about a job. She was pointed towards the manager. She went to him and asked about the job. Autumn went to see what she could find. She has experience in different areas. A couple of hours later, they both were at the house. Violet had a couple of job forms in her hand. Autumn had a stack. They spent most of the day filling them out. Autumn was working on hers when her phone goes off. She looked at Victoria. She did not know what is going on. Autumn looked down to see that there was an answer for one of the places she applied. 

"Well, there goes that chance. It did not work out." Autumn said to herself

"Well, we will find one. I am applying to that art supply store. I figure that would be a start. Who knows I might even find him again." Violet said

"That is a good idea. You know about artwork and paints. That could be a good one for you. You are right because he could come back to that store for some reason." Autumn said

"Yeah," Violet said

They decide to stop for the night. It was getting close to dinnertime. They need to eat and talked about what was going. Autumn had more to talk about with Violet. Autumn was working on her last one for the night. Violet came in with tears in her eyes. Autumn looked at her.

 "What happens?" Autumn said as she got up"Nothing happens. I just saw something I have not in long while." Violet said

"What did you see?" Autumn asked

"I found a photo with all of us in it. Mom, Dad, you, and me from years ago. It is when we were young. I just thought it was cool." Violet said

"Where?" Autumn said

Violet hands her a couple of photos. Autumn looked through them and smiles. She could not believe how much she looked like her mom. Violet was happy to see that Autumn was happy. Even for a moment, it kept her pain out of her mind. She looked around and notice that the house was empty of photos. Autumn was thinking about putting pictures up. it would show happier times for them. Violet always want to hang some of her artwork. Violet look at her artwork. "Can I hang some of my artwork?" Violet said
