Jack's P.O.V.
"Emma!" I called up the stairs. I heard faint shuffling and my little sister faced me on the landing.
"What now?" She huffed, crossing her arms.
"I'm going to the shop for Mom, coming?" I asked.
She raised her eyebrows before giving a little shrug. "Sure, why not?"
She bounced down the stairs and headed towards the front door.
"Ems, wait up!" I called. She huffed one again before her small figure leant up against the wall near the doorway. "Mom! We're going shopping!" I shouted through the house. My mom ran towards me and quickly gave me a list.
"Get everything on this list! We need it for tonight!" She rambled on.
"Mom? Money please?" I asked.
"Oh crap, yeah! Sorry." She grabbed her purse from the hallway table and dug through it, receiving me two twenty dollar bills. "That should be enough, love you!" She quickly gave me a kiss on the cheek before running to Emma to give her one too.
"Bye Mom!" I smiled, opening the door.
"Bye Sweeties!" And with that she pushed my sister and I out of the door, and slammed it shut behind us.
Emma wandered off to the sidewalk where my car was parked. I jogged to the driver's side, unlocked the door and slipped inside. I looked to my side to see Emma already seated. I shoved my keys in the ignition, turning them, receiving a roar from the engine. I stepped on the gas and the car sped down the road.
From the corner of my eye, I noticed Emma tuning the radio satellite. She found a station she liked and the all-too-familiar voices of The Four Seasons filled my ears.
"Turn this shit off." I groaned.
"No! They're amazing!" She protested.
"They're really not." I sighed.
"You don't even know them!" She argued.
"Yeah, 'cause I'm totally not the one who has to go on tour with them." I said, sarcasm laced within my voice.
"What did you just say?" She asked, staring at me with wide eyes
"You heard me." I sighed, indicating into the shop's parking lot.
"AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME?!" She screeched, causing me to swerve in the middle of the road.
"EMMA, SHUT THE FUCK UP A MINUTE!" I shouted at my little sister, causing her to laugh. I turned into an empty space and sighed, taking the keys out. I then slammed my head against the steering wheel.
"Don't be so damn dramatic!" She laughed, before yanking my hair and shaking my head like a rag doll. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!"" She screamed.
"It didn't seem important!" I shouted back, prying her hands out of my hair.
"OF COURSE IT'S IMPORTANT! YOU KNOW I LOVE THEM!" She yelled.
"Well I'm so freaking sorry then! There, you happy?!" I cried out, pushing the car door open and stepping out. "Now come on, we need to get started."
"Don't think I'm finished with you." She glared, slamming her door shut and storming off to the store.
"Yes mother!" I teasingly called out after her.
