I've waited. I've been waiting.
I've been waiting for this man to just wake up so I could stop worrying about getting off this roof. I'm with a man I barely met yesterday morning. I hate this.

This isn't a natural thing.

Not even for a first date.

This was not a date.

But

He smelt so fondly of sweet, savory smoke with a natural musk that makes any person tremble. I like it. The way he would flutter every other moment when he was sleeping. I like it. The rise and fall of his breaths. In and out. In a perfect pattern that wasn't disturbed. I like it. The idea of him just being at rest. While his mind still was putting pieces together and functioning. He was relaxed. At peace.

I leaned backward on my hands to stretch my spine as I tilted my head to get a better view of him.

He sleeps on his tummy.

With his arms crossed over one another to create a pillow for his head.

I like the way his eyelashes brush so evenly against his under eyes.

I want to reach out. Touch him. His cheek. Brush his jaw. Anything.

No what the fuck? Wake him up go about your day.

As I break my gaze, I focused on the sunrise and how it was settling perfectly on the horizon.

"Sage."

My body was burning. I turned my head in a jolted jump as I make eye contact with the boy. His curls riding wildly against his shoulders. Up, over and around his head.

He's looking up to me. Still resting on his forearms.

"Harry. Good morning." I muttered to him as I stood up.

He kept a gaze on me as I reached my arms upward to get another good stretch in.

He began to stand up and mirrored me. Looking me face to face.

I raised an eyebrow at him while he just giggled at himself.

I stretched to my right side and he followed me.

I did the same thing the other way and he followed after me again.

I started to chuckle as he stood back up and walked towards the stairs and stopped.

He just sat his hands on the railing and looked at the sun for a very vivid moment and walked back.

He began folding his quilt back together and grabbed something from his bag.

A light, creamy red beanie.

I started to pack my things as well. I only brought my phone and my jacket, but I wanted to be ready.

He began walking back to me as he adjusted his beanie around his curls. Feeding them in and out through his fingers as he wanted them.

He looked at me for a moment and then grabbed his disposable camera from his bag.

"Harry, Why?" I blushed to him as he put it to his eye.

He sat for a moment.

"As I told you before,"

He presses his finger down on the shutter and I hear the camera click.

"It's important. Important for me." He smiles as he brings the camera back down to his waist.

I smile at him in return as he places the camera back in his bag.

Harry glanced up towards me and took a few steps forward.

"Would you like to have brunch, Sage? On me." He says while he curtsied.

I crossed my arms and let out a laugh.

"Sure, Harry." I smile to him and he does back. I grabbed my things that were placed by my feet and looked back up to him.

His face was still and the sun danced along his freckles and perfect skin.

Harry. I just met you. I just met you. I just met you.

24 hours. It's been 24 hours. We are friends. We are friends and it's okay.
