38- Quidditch trails

You rushed out of the classroom when the lesson ended. You wanted to talk to Draco. It was necessary. You deeply cared for the boy and everything went downhill from one kiss. But you felt something wrong; you followed him from a distance slyly as he speeds walk to his destination.

'The Room of Requirements?' You thought to yourself as Draco went in.

You followed him through a massive junkyard of worthless objects. He walked down a clear hall to find Draco pull an ancient blanket off a massive jet black pattern cabinet. You were curious about what it was. Draco pulled a playing card, Queen of hearts, out of his pocket and placed it inside the cabinet. He places the card in the cabinet waiting for something to happen.

Minutes later he opened the door slowly and stared deeply at the card. It looked the same to you. Draco then kicked a pile of boxes which fell making a racket. He was clearly stressed and furious. As you were about to leave you to knock over an old broom.

'Shit.' You whispered to yourself.

'Who's there?' Draco pointed his wand at your back.

'Surprise?' You turned around with an awkward smile.

'What have I told you Y/N- Valentine don't come near me.' He whispers shouted at you while his wand was pointed at your neck.

'Draco you're stress.' You changed the subject as your hand went up to his face as he stared at you. He then moved your hand while staring at something else.

'Draco I am sorry-.' 

'Go.' Draco ordered as you silently walked out the Room of Requirements.

The wind haunted the majestic castle. It was the next day; a windy day for Slytherin Quidditch trails. You headed to the great hall and sat with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Who seemed awfully different.

'What's up with yous?' You questioned.

'Actually, we're worried about you.' Hermione stated as you stared behind them at Draco and the others.

'You can talk to us Y/N.' Harry reassured.

'We kissed.' You blurted so suddenly.

'What?' Hermione stuttered as Harry and Ron choked on their food.

'I and Draco kissed and he said it was a mistake.' You lied.

'Oh Y/N I'm so sorry.' Hermione tried to comfort you.

'Well, good news Slytherin trails for Quidditch today.' You changed the subject.

'Wait you're going to try out?' Harry asked.

'Yup, how does chaser sound?' You grinned.

'You best go then as it's at 9:50 am.' Ron stated.

You waved goodbye as you headed to the quidditch pitch and towards the changing rooms. You put on some old Slytherin uniform, number 7, and headed to the pitch. Loads of students including Slytherins mixed with Gryffindors were around the stands. You walked to the other people who were trying out and saw Theo, Slytherin captain/chaser, who gave you a slight smile. Time went by and it was now the tryouts for the chasers.

'Okay so I need 1 new chaser and since there is two of you you're going to have to do well.' Theo explained.

'So my goalkeeper will be Blaise and you both have to try and score 5 goals and do some laps while Crabbe and Goyle chase you for the quaffle.' He added.

'Y/N you're first.' Theo ordered as you flew up.

You did some amazing tricks on your broom while dodging Crabbe and Goyle around the stadium. More students came out and you could hear Harry and Hermione cheering you on from the stands. It was now another Slytherin student,4th year, turn to do the same. Sadly, they lost the quaffle and stormed to the ground furiously.

'Good job Y/N.' Theo praised you.

It was now the second task to find out if you'd be on the team. You needed to score 5 penalties to become a chaser. Blaise was an excellent goalkeeper but in summer you'd always score. You scored 4/5 which worried you kind of. Blaise praised you and smirked deeply at you when you flew down. It was now again the other Slytherin students turn. She was awfully bad and scored 1/5 and stormed off again but from the pitch.

'Well, that means Y/N you're our new chaser congrats.' Theo hugged you tightly as you smiled. As you came out of the hug Blaise flew down as Draco walked onto the pitch.

'Well Miss Malfoy, congrats on being our new chaser.' Draco clapped his hands slowly.

'Malfoy? What you mean Draco?' You were confused deeply.

'You're wearing my kit.' He stated with no emotion as Blaise chuckled.

'Draco I'm sorry I didn't know.' You apologised quickly.

'You know what it doesn't matter congrats.' He then walked away.

'You know we still care about you Y/N including Draco.' Blaise admitted.

'Then why won't he talk to me.' You sighed as you walked to the changing rooms with them.

'He'll come off his man period soon but if your mum doesn't want you near us to "protect" you then I don't know.' Theo spoke.

'Will I see you guys tomorrow?' You questioned.

'Hopefully Y/N.' Blaise replied.

'We are sorry for not speaking to you.' Blaise mentioned.

'I did something stupid I know.' You went silent as you walked back to the castle.

Later that day you headed back to the Slytherin common room quietly opening the doors. As you heard Draco, Theo and Blaise speaking. You were a curious lady so you had to listen. Especially when they won't talk to you much because of your stupid actions.

'You loved watching her Draco.' Blaise chuckled.

'Especially In your seeker uniform.' Theo teased.

'I can't be with her when I have a job. He'll hurt her I'm trying to-' 

'Protect her we know Draco you tell us every day.' Theo's attitude changed as you walked past them swiftly.

'Y/N?' Blaise called out as Draco slouched on the sofa.

'She heard us didn't she?' Draco spoke up.

'Well, we know our Y/N too well of course she did.' Theo laughed.

'Best go to sleep. Off to study tomorrow.' Draco stood up.

'You study? When we can go to Hogsmeade.' Theo chuckled.

'Mother will be pissed if I don't do well.' He told as he went.

'Sure it isn't a job for him Draco?' Blaise sussed him out quickly.

'It's none of your business if I'm correct.' Draco snapped.

'Y/N isn't going to like all this secrecy.' Theo sighed.

'Well, I'm doing her jobs for her protection.' He replied as he went to his dorm.

'She'll find out soon mate.' Blaise shouted.
