And then they were off, most kids walked and some jogged while Ryan boosted it, coming neck and neck to Pred, Aaron and Tori.

Ryan definitely didn't want to lose to Tori and Pred, he took slow and deep breaths and sprinted pass them both, while running the same pace as Aaron, soon enough the boys passed the 400 meter mark and they both tied.

Aaron ran slowly now as did Ryan until they both stopped puffing, they both took one look at each other before chuckling and coughing.

few seconds later both boys got there breaths back and Pred and Tori and just finished running.

"Damn, you're a fast runner" Aaron said sitting on the grass, Ryan sat down next to him.

"well I was in track for three years, so I best be fast" Ryan said.

"Three years jez, I was only in track for a year" Aaron mention.

"Maybe your just a natural runner" Ryan pointed out.

"ahhh..." Aaron avoided looking at Ryan, "Yeah, that's it" he said.

'he's hiding something' Ryan thought, 'but then again, so am I' he thought as he looked at his hands.

"We'll talk about it later okay?" Ryan suggested.

Aaron nodded, "Yeah later" he said.

"Congrats boys"

The both turned around to look at Pred, "You both just made it in the track team" he said, "You both start practice next term, cause we need to get... other things out of the way first" Pred said hesitatingly.

'it's like everyone is hesitant to say something that might give something away' Ryan thought, his eyes wondered to Pred's hands, and that's when he saw them, two purple marks, they looked like a wave flow with purple stars on the side.

'so that's why' Ryan thought, 'maybe, my powers weren't suppose to come out yet because I'm younger than most here' he added.

"Oh by the way-" Pred started, "Can I talk to you in private Ryan?" he asked.

Ryan nodded and walked a bit further away with Pred, but unaware that a certain boy and girl could still hear them.

"So how are you holding up?" Pred asked.

"Good" Ryan replied.

"great, I hope you know why I put you on the track team with Aaron?" Pred asked unsure if Ryan knew or not.

"I have a feeling that it's a distraction/punishment for our pass actions" Ryan responded.

Pred nodded, "And also I know that you like track, so I want you on the team" he said.

"And the catch?" Ryan asked.

"You will be the coach" Pred said.

Ryan sighed, "Alright, but only if Aaron get's to be co-coaches with me" he said.

Pred nodded and stuck out his had, "Deal".

Ryan looked at Pred's mark quickly, then shook his hand, "Deal".

And with that Ryan walked back to Aaron, but on the way he was stopped by Tori.

"So you do talk huh?" she asked/ demanded to know.

Ryan rolled his eyes, "just leave me alone" he said.

"oh no, I'm not leaving you alone, first, I just wanted to know you, but now I want to break you" she smirked.

"Oh congrats, your bullying a minor" he said, and he bumped her shoulder and walked away, back to Aaron, not caring what her expression might be.

As Ryan saw Aaron glaring at him, he realized that he must have been listening too, Ryan sighed, "look, you either be co-coaches or you will be doing triple laps with the kids we will be coaching" he said.
