Our Vows in Verse

7 2 1

The sun shines and I see you're halo'd
The storm rages and I know I've fallen for you
The rain falls and I know you'll help my load
And when autumn comes I know I'll hold you too.

When I saw you on the docks
And we travelled back in time
And when the sun beamed off your locks
That was when I knew you were mine.

Now that we're here
I know you'll say yes too
And you know I'll hold you near
As it's always yes to you.

Then one day we will grow old
Through the pain and fun
I'll hold you 'till your body's cold
And so know you are my one true sun.

So with this ring I give to you
Know you'll carry my heart too
No matter where in the world you'll be
Promise you will stay with me.

I really like this one, I'm tempted to send this in for my school poetry competition but I also have another idea for that as well; we'll see.
