SHIELD Analytical Room

A couple weeks later, in a TV news montage about The Avengers, we saw various reports of what happened. Some people agreed that The Avengers did good, protecting the city. Other believed it was their cause.

"Superheroes? In New York? Give me a break!"

"Those so called heroes have to be held responsible for the destruction done to the city. This was their fight. Where are they now?"

"What? That this was somehow their fault? Captain America saved my life. Wherever he is, wherever any of them are, I just wanna say thank you."

Central Park

The Avengers took Thor, Triston, Lidianna and Loki, who was handcuffed and muzzled, to a blocked area. Thor, Triston and Lidianna shook hands with their team and Thor and Triston gave Erik a hug. Lidianna tried to shake his hand, but he seemed scared of her. She was hurt, but she knew it was natural. She would win the people's hearts again, but it had to take time. Tony opened the Tesseract's case and Banner took it out and place it inside a glass tube, held by Thor, Triston and Lidianna. They gave Loki the other end, who reluctantly took it.

The Asgardians leaped into the energy bean and they were gone. The , one-by-one, the group splintered off, strolling into different directions. Banner climbed in with Tony in his sports car. Steve got on his Harley. Natasha and Clint climbed back into SHIELD cars. But before they all parted, Emma and Alexandria said their goodbyes. "I doubt this will be the last time we see each other, damsel Princess," Alexandria said and Emma scoffed at her now nickname that Alexandria was probably gonna call her now.

"That name is stupid," Emma said with a smile.

"I know, that's the point," Alexandria said with a laugh.

"Okay, then, it's fair you have a nickname," Emma said.

"Alright, Stark-ess. What do you got?" Alexandria asked as Emma glanced over at Steve, then back at the blonde in front of her.

"Your dad calls you Ale, right?" Emma asked.

"Yeah. Ever since I was a baby," Alexandria said.

"Hmm. Okay. I know your new nickname now," Emma said

"What is it?" Alexandria asked.

"Allie," Emma said simply and Alexandria stammered a small smile.

"Allie. Allie. Allie Rodgers. I like it," Alexandria said and Emma smiled.

"Duh, because I made it up," Emma said before she laughed. "See you until then, Allie." Emma then backed up and got into the back of Tony's sports car as Allie got on the back of Steve's Harley. They all parted. For now.

SHIELD Analytical Room

Fury faced once more members of the World Security Council. "Where are the Avengers?"

"I'm not currently tracking their whereabouts. I'd say they've earned a leave of absence," Fury said.

"And the Tesseract?"

"The Tesseract is where it belongs: out of our reach," Fury said.

"That's not your call."

"I didn't make it. I just didn't argue with the gods that did," Fury said.

"So you let them take it and the war criminal, Loki, who should be answering for his crimes? Along with that daughter of his, though it should not matter that she turned a new leaf."

"Oh, I think he will be and she has changed for the better," Fury said.

"I don't think you understand what you've started. Letting the Avengers loose on this world. They're dangerous."

"They surely are. And the whole world knows it. Every world knows it," Fury said.

"Was that the point of all this? A statement?"

"A promise," Fury said before he walked out, and towards the bridge.

Fury and Agent Hill walked together, towards the window looking out into the world. "Sir, how does it work now? They've gone their separate ways, some pretty extremely far. We get into a situation like this again, what happens then?" Hill asked.

"They'll come back," Fury said.

"You really sure about that?" Hill asked.

"I am," Fury said.

"Why?" Hill asked.

"Because we'll need them to," Fury said.

Stark Tower

In the penthouse, Tony, Emma and Pepper unveiled a new design for Stark Tower, as they all huddled together like a family, Emma feeling okay again from all the events because she had her mother's warmth and comfort again.

When we pull out from the power, showing the letters for STARK TOWER had been blown away, and all that remained was the giant A.
