Y/N was perfectly content with how her life was going. She had her boys back, great friends, and Mr.Miyagi, the maintenance man who became somewhat of a mentor to her. For Y/N everything seemed to be perfect. Well not entirely, but so far nothing was going terribly.
She went back to spending most of her time with the Cobra's, eating with them, goofing off during classes, going to the beach, and so on. The only time she wasn't with them was when they went to karate but she would usually go visit Mr. Miyagi. She adored him.
As for her other friends, Ali, Susan and Barbra were very nice. Well, Ali was nice, the other two were ok. At first, they looked down on Y/N, seeing as she was from Reseda, but after finding out she was the princess of the Cobra's they all became fast friends. Daniel, on the other hand, had been avoiding Ali a lot after his "bike accident". He had been clinging onto Y/N a lot, most following her around and trying to hang out with her every second. Not that she minded, she loved her best friend but sometimes she needed to spend time with the boys.
Weeks had passed since the "bike accident" and now it was inching closer to Halloween. This meant that the big Halloween dance was coming up. Y/N already knew what she was going as.
Y/N arrived at school, parking her bike in its usual spot, before walking over to the Cobra's who was waiting for her like they did every day. Johnny was the first one to notice her, like always, and greeted her with a smile. That damn smile made her blush every time.
Y/N didn't know what it was that drew her to him. Maybe it was how he could be tough and fearless but also show his soft side. Maybe it was how he could be funny and make Y/N always smile Or maybe it was everything about him. His beautiful golden locks, dazzling blue eyes, crooked smile with pearly white teeth, his soft side, his tough side, his sense of humor..etc. Y/N wasn't sure what it was about him that made him so...intoxicating.
"Hello, boys." Y/N greeted, walking over to them. They all smiled and waved at her. "So you excited about the dance tonight?" Tommy asked the girl. Y/N shrugged. "Eh. I'm not a big dance person but I'm sure being with you guys will make it better."
The boys all grinned. "So what are you guys going as?" She asked. "We're doing a group costume. Skeletons." Bobby answered. "Ooh, I love it." She complimented. "What are you going as?" Jimmy asked. "Ah, I'm going as a surprise," Y/N replied with a cheeky smile. "Oh come on tell us." Dutch whined. "Nope, sorry boys. You'll see me at the dance." Y/N stated before walking away from them.
Y/N felt someone wrap their arms around her waist and spin her around. Y/N looked up to see the eyes that made her weak in the knees. The eyes of Johnny. "Come on tell me what you're going as." Johnny pleaded, giving her puppy dog eyes. Y/N wasn't falling for it. "Sorry, pretty boy. You'll have to wait and see." She grinned. "You're such a tease." He growled. "Only for you."
Y/N stood on her tippy toes and planted a kiss on his cheek before wiggling out of his arms and taking off. Johnny stood there shocked for a second before running after her. "I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THAT!" He shouted, sprinting after her. "TOO BAD!" She shouted back with a laugh. Y/N sprinted until she reached her home ec, bumping into the doorway. Well, what she thought was the doorway. She actually bumped into David.
"Hey Y/N." He greeted. "Oh hey, David." She panted. "Why're you so out of breathe?" He asked. Y/N chuckled to herself. "Oh, I was just escaping Johnny. He's fun to mess with." She replied, not even bothering to stop the smile that was forming on her face when she mentioned the blonde's name. David, however, did notice this and felt anger course through him. What did Johnny have that he didn't have? "Johnny as in Johnny Lawrence?" He questioned, even though he already knew the answer.
"Yeah. Johnny Lawrence."
"What do you see him?"
Y/N was taken aback by his question. Why did he care so much? Before she could answer, a voice spoke up behind them. "My good looks of course," Johnny replied, coming into the classroom and leaning on Y/N. Y/N laughed while David just glared, his green eyes burning. "What are you doing here, Lawrence?" David asked angrily. Johnny noticed the tone but decided to ignore it, just to piss off David. He hated him, especially since Johnny was aware of his crush on Y/N.
"I came to get Y/N back for what she did to me." He stated. "You act like I hit you with a car." Y/N scoffed. "Yeah well, I didn't like how you left me, princess. At least finish what you started." He teased, making Y/N's face flush. David felt even angrier by the statement. Before Y/N could retort, the teacher walked into the classroom.
"Mr. Lawrence, don't you have another class to attend to?" The teacher asked, crossing her arms. Johnny's face burned with embarrassment. "Er, right, yeah, sorry, I'll go." He stammered embarrassed. "Bye pretty boy," Y/N said, lightly shoving him out the door. "Bye, princess. See you later." He replied. He leaned down and placed a kiss on her cheek before dashing off leaving her the way she left him. "I hate you, Johnny Lawrence!" Y/N shouted at his retreating back. "No, you don't!" He yelled over his shoulder Y/N rolled her eyes with a smile. He was right, she didn't.
Y/N walked back into the classroom, her cheeks slightly red from her flustered state. "You look really red." David pointed out as Y/N took her seat. "Do I?" She asked, placing her hands on her hot cheeks. David rolled his eyes. "Anyways, since the dance is tonight, I was wondering if you would like a ride there?" David asked. "Thank but Ali is driving me," Y/N replied with a smile.
Even though David was a friend, well sort of, Y/N still felt uneasy around him for some reason. "Well remember to save me a dance." He stated with a wink. Y/N laughed a little. She was probably going to be with the boys all night anyways. A small part of her was hoping she and Johnny could be alone at some point during the night. Because maybe, just maybe, something will happen between them. Something did happen between them that night, but not what Y/N was expecting. ------------------------------------------------------------- A/N Sorry for not updating in a bit I've been busy. Anyways I have a few things to say. 1) Would you guys be interested in a sequel for this book? I know I've still got a long way to go before I finish but if you guys want a sequel (which will take place during Cobra Kai) then it will help me how I write this book 2) I want to thank you guys for 2K reads!! I really love writing this book and I'm happy you guys like it 3) Look what I got in the mail!!
