Chapter 6 ~ Empathy Pains

        Some people say that if you love someone enough you can feel when they get hurt. Well if that was true Jason must've cut his arm off or something, because Nico woke up with his arm feeling stiff and hurting like hell.

        "Fuck." He hissed, trying to be quiet, and not wake the son of Apollo beside him. This was Nico and Will's fourth day and they had moved to the bed. It was nice not having to handle this alone. Nico got up and trudged out to the kitchen to make some coffee. He took the time in the morning to think.

        Will liked him and Nico knew that. But Nico didn't know where their relationship was standing right now. Were they friends? A couple? Friends with benefits? Nico just couldn't get it all sorted out in his head. Will had simply put his feelings on the table and was waiting for Nico to make his move. At some points Will would do couple like things, like petting Nico's hair or holding his hands. Nico liked it, but he didn't know why.

        His thoughts were interrupted by Will wrapping his arms around Nico's waist. He nuzzled his head into Nico's neck.

        "Morning." He mumbled. Nico held Will's hand which was sitting on his stomach. The two sat there for a few minuets content with silence. Nico turned around and put their intertwined hands on Will's chest, and looked up and the taller boy.

        "What are we?" He asked.

        "Whatever you want us to be, ok? I'm here, ready to follow you to anywhere you need to go, and do anything you need me to do." Will said. He brought their hands up and kissed each one of Nico's knuckles. Nico looked down and smiled.

        "Go back to bed. I'll finish up here and bring you a cup." Nico said, gently pushing Will away.

        "Ok. I expect you in ten minuets ghost boy." Will teased.

        Nico heard the bed creek as Will layed back down. He looked out the window at the bustle of people. He wondered if any of them were in his position, if anyone else in the world could understand like Will does. Will treated him like he was the only thing in the world that mattered. Nico sighed and put his head in his hands. Their friendship had blossomed into more, hadn't it?

        If he loved Jason so much then why did he like Will too? Why did he want Percy back once in a blue moon? What the fuck did all of this mean? The more he thought the tighter he pulled on his hair. Soon tears rimmed his eyes, from a mix of the pain and confusion. He let out a strangled scream. Footsteps ran out from the bedroom and strong hands took his head from his hands. 

        "It's ok, shhhhhh." Will cooed.

        "Why?" Nico sobbed.

        "Why do you have to be so nice? Shouldn't you hate me? You kissed me and I lead you on and it's all my fault that we're here and no one can predict how this will turn out but your still here!" He said, pounding a fist on Will's chest.

        "Nico, Nico look at me. I'm here of my own free will. I know what it's like to be ignored and trust me it fucking sucks but you need to know that that's over now. You have three demigods, two being sons of the big three, ready to kick anyone's ass just for you, and before you say anything yes, Percy and Jason are looking for you. Annabeth iris messaged me a few days ago, thankfully I was out so they don't know where we are but they're worried sick. I told them it's finally time for someone to take care of you so they don't expect you home any time soon. This is your time so know I will do anything for you. Just say the magic word." Nico could have sworn Will was a child of Aphrodite at that moment. He was everything Nico needed and there was no way in hell Nico was letting him slip away.

A/N:
Ok so I'm so sorry this is a little shorter like all the chapters are usually 1,000+ words and this one is only 700 but that's still a lot and I think the all together feel of this one is way better and dialog is better and it's still not really good but it's something. Anyways I was just wondering of you guys liked the direction I was taking this and if I should change anything or if you have anything you would want me to put in.
