Father Fujimoto heard something strange as he was walking back home from the local convenience store.He wondered if he was hearing squatters but instead caught sight of Y/n digging through a cabinet in an abandoned home once again, he let out a sad worrisome sigh,
"What did I tell you about doing this?"
Sukui looked over her shoulder frantically dropping the empty bottles on the floor she felt ashamed gulping trying to keep from becoming teary eyed the priest hummed gesturing to the bottles,
"If you collect those there are places nearby that will exchange you money for them.Come with me kid the church isn't too far from here, I know you remember me saying this but you can come by when you need food."
Sukui shook her head doing sign language which translates to:
"You only leave out food for stray cats.I don't have a bag to carry the bottles I have a pile at the other house."
Father Fujimoto frowned,
"Good to know you got your hearing aids back from that bad family.You didn't go back to the orphanage I know it ain't been easy for you and that's only because you never knock on the door.You get lucky enough with Yukio saving bread from our dinners but you can't grow from just that okay.Come on."
Sukui pouted following Father Fujimoto he reached for her hand cringing,
"How in the world are you not cold kid? It's below freezing?Why are you wet?"
Sukui started to cry,
"I tried asking for food at the pantry, I saw something run into the building so I went after it but the people didn't believe me because it disappeared so when I explained I was called a liar and shoved out onto the streets.I got shoved around a bit I got put in a barrel that was full of water from last week's rain."
The priest laughed,
"You're alright dear, is that why you've got scratches and bruises?"
As they came closer to the church Father Fujimoto was affiliated with, the entrance door opened Yukio and Rin came running out to the priest smiling at him.There were black little dust like particles floating in the air when she realized they had wide green eyes she hid behind Father Fujimoto.He spoke softly,
"Oh it's just my twin boys.Rin and Yukio say hi to Sukui."
Rin was yanking the priest's free arm noticing the small girl,
"You're that girl that plays with the kittens. You go looking for em all the time when Dad puts milk out for them why do you do that if they know where the milk is?"
Sukui attempted to sign confusing Rin, Yukio nodded encouragingly and Father Fujimoto recognized the kindness in the girl's heart saying,
"Come on now don't be shy..."
Sukui spoke amazing Yukio and Rin furrowed his brows,
"I just like helping them and making sure they are all counted for..Hi Yukio and hi Rin."
Yukio smiled,
"I've never heard you use your voice before, your voice sounds nice."
Rin was trying to take off his jacket Father Fujimoto said,
"Oi you brat what are you doing?"
The priest reached for him Rin managed to get away pulling Sukui with him shoving the jacket into her chest making her squeak yelling,
