"Wake up my love."
I roll onto my back and open my eyes just enough to see Jax leaning over me.
"Time to get up beautiful!" His voice comes out in a higher pitch and much louder.
"Oh my god you scream like a girl." I groan, pulling his pillow from the other side of the bed onto my face. "Shut up."
"Nope! It's time to get! It's time to get up!" He pulls the covers off me and I automatically curl into a ball.
"Jaxon! Let me sleep!" I yell, really annoyed at this point.
"Nope. You have to give me a kiss and a hug and then eat breakfast." He instructs as he kisses my cheek repeatedly.
I let out a long, over dramatic sigh as a way for him to know that I've given up.
"Fine." I push myself up and wrap my arms around his neck.
He slides his hands down my back and underneath my thighs, lifting me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and bury my head in his shoulder as he gently carries me into the kitchen.
I'm exhausted after yesterday's flight, and I didn't have a very good sleep even when I was in bed.
"I'm sorry for waking you up baby." He whispers.
"That's ok honey." I smile into his shirt.
"I just missed you. You were driving me crazy because you looked so beautiful in your sleep." He says, setting me down on the bench and resting his arms around me waist.
I smile and kiss him gently, running my fingers through his messy hair.
"I love you baby." He says before kissing me again.
"I love you too Jax." I reply.
"How did I ever get a girl like you?" He frowns, looking genuinely confused.
"Because you're a gorgeous guy with sweet personality and I'm not that hard to get. I mean 'the girls like me'." I answer seriously, draping my arms carelessly over his shoulders, lacing my fingers together behind his back.
"Whatever. You're a once in a lifetime girl Ames." He kisses the end of my nose and hugs me again.
"No." I yawn and close my eyes, sleep closing in on my again.
"Are you still tired baby?" He asks after a minutes or so.
"Mmhmm, and I'm cold." I nod, thinking about the cold marble I can feel through my pajama pants.
"Do you want me to take you back to bed?" He lifts me off the bench and walks back towards the bed.
"Only if you come in with me." I yawn again, this time leaning back and resting my forehead on his.
"You've got a deal."
With that he lays me down and pulls the blankets up over me.
My pillow's cold now, and so are the sheets, but I'm comforted when I feel the long, warm body crawling in beside me.
He puts his arm around my waist and traces little circles on my back.
I let out another yawn, resting my hands under his chin and holding the end of my sleeves over my fingers, trying to warm them.
"Sweet dreams, baby girl." He whispers as I finally settle down into a comfortable semi-sleep.
"You too baby."
That's the last thing I remember before I fall asleep again.
.............
When I wake up, Jax is asleep beside me.
