"Summer! Summer!"

Welp. There goes my peace and quiet. "Yes April" I answered will a roll of my eyes. The doorknob rotated and the door swung open. In came my twin's obnoxious face that now beheld a nervous face. She was clad in a short flowy tank top with a leather skirt. Topped off with a Gucci jacket, paired with Versace stilettos. She strutted in and in an attempt to make herself comfortable, plopped down on my grey couch. "Hi...er...I need a little favor. Would you mind?" She asked with a pleading look.

With a soft sigh and few incoherent swear words, I sat up on my bed. Closing the macbook on my lap, I turned to her. It was beyond me how someone could be dressed like ready for partying at what, like five in the morning? While my humble self was in a grey tank top and pyjama shorts.

"What is it?" I voiced my question. In turn the latter smiled again, showing her perfect teeth. "Well you know how I failed some of my classes last year?" She stated awkwardly, to which I gave threw a look. Rectifying herself, she spoke again. "Alright most of my classes.  But mom and dad said I start summer school tomorrow." She finished. Knowing the news already, I turned back and said in an unbothered manner, "So?"

"So?! So I need you to enroll with me!" She pompously said. "What?!" Was the only reaction from me. Is she dumb or delusional? Probably both. "Girlie, if you thought I'm throwing away my peaceful summer to save your ass at school, that ain't happening." I proceeded to open my macbook again...only for it to be snatched by a certain annoying female.

"Come on Sum, only you can be my savior. You know how Stephanie is. She doesn't even study!" She begged again. I drew my hand back. "Well maybe, this year you should start doing your own assignments and pay attention in class." I reasoned, but to no avail.

Let me fill you up on my life or more like my life as a shadow of April Davis. My parents, Joseph and Annabeth Davis, both attorneys. They are popular in their field of work and make good money. So we aren't broke like every story in Wattpad. But they don't allow us to be entitled brats as well. But we are well off.

April is my twin. Older to me by an hour. We're not identical however. We're fraternal twins. Although sometimes I think she is the younger twin. April is the rebellious one. I'm no saint but in April's case she might as well be the devil. Literally. From boys, to tattoos, to piercings, to graffiti, she's hell bent on concreting her reputation as the so called 'bad girl'.

Ofcourse our parents always have that disappointed face on whenever those above mentioned topics pop out in conversations. See, our parents come from a strict catholic family with strong beliefs in matters like no alcohol till an adult, no ink on skin, no sex till marriage, yada yada yada. But they do give us our freedom. Most of the times.

And then there's me. Summer Davis. My life revolves around fantasy, anime and books. Don't mistake me as a nerd though. But I am that goody two shoes that doesn't put a toe out of line. Just like April, I have a reputation too. Of being the Teacher's Pet. I don't mind it. But being the twin of April Davis gets me enough attention to last a lifetime.

My dad is a handsome brunette and my mom is a beautiful blonde with blue eyes. See where my good genes come from? As a result, me and April are both fairly good looking, her more than me. So the whole school know the famous Davis Twins.

But I have so much to do in high school for me to have time for boys. Those can wait till college. But there's another person who keeps me going. That is none other than my bff, Cherylene Hope Rogers. My lifesaver in short. We met in kindergarten and immediately became inseparable. Since then we've been two peas in a pod.

Speaking of her, my phone buzzed under my pillow. The caller ID came up - Cher Bear. The ranting of my twin stopped momentarily. I slid the answer button and the face of a dark haired girl popped up on the screen.

"Hey girl!" The cheerful voice of my bestie came to my ear. I immediately smiled. "Hey! How's England?" I asked. "Good. But could've been so much better if you were here." We both chuckled. "I wish I were there too...instead, I'm stuck here with an excruciatingly insufferable individual". April rolled her eyes.

You know, most people think twins should be inseparably or something, but that's far from our case. We cannot stand each other. If she goes east, I go west. From different food preferences to different favorite movies, if someone didn't know us properly, they'd think were not even twins.

"I genuinely feel bad." Cherylene mocked. "Anyways, good news is, I'm coming back tomorrow!" She finally revealed. I thought I heard wrong so I asked her again. In an answer she almost yelled. "I AM COMING BACK TO ARIZONA!" We giggled again. "And I convinced my ma and pa to enroll me for summer school so we can be in the same grade next year!"

April shot me a look that purely said 'Hurry up or I'll murder you'. Listening to my wish to live, I pursed my lips and turned to my phone again. "That's great! Hey Cher, mind if I call you back later? Someone's getting impatient." She just smiled knowingly. "God, what would I do without you!" I said, flinging my limbs everywhere. "Probably dehydrate, starve and die of annoyance." Cherylene casually stated. "Gtg, bye!" Before I could go on a ranting spree, she hung up. Now, the nuisance at hand.

"See even Cherylene will be there! Now can you come with me? Pretty please?" She tried the same innocent look, batting her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes again. Seriously, the amount of times I roll my eyes in the presence of this she-devil, my eyes should be stuck at the back of my head!

"Fine. Summer school, ready or not, here we come." I said, cracking a smile.

"YES!"
