The Letter- Chapter Two
Madelyn's P.O.V.
I got out of the limo with Mr. and Mrs. Jones right behind me. They both smiled at me and motioned for me to start my way up the stairs.
When we got to the top, I looked up into the eyes of the man I had seen from a distance just a short while ago. He was spectacular. I quickly looked away, remembering there were twelve other girls who had recently felt the same way or would soon would. At that remembrance, I looked back up to find Mrs. Jones introducing us.
"Blake, dear, this is Madelyn Turner from Rock Springs, Wyoming. She is one of the eligible girls, and you can get to know her better at tonight's banquet. But until then she needs to get her rest, I'm afraid the flight has worn her out quite a bit."
He nodded his head towards me and stuck his hand out, expecting me to shake it. Mrs. Jones started bustling closer to the double doors grabbing my hand before I could shake his and then led me into the giant castle.
Walking inside, I looked around and saw what I had expected, everything that should be in a beautiful castle. There were long tables meant for eating with many guests. And through one door was a magnificent dance floor.
Mrs. Jones started walking up some stairs with me still in tow. She led me through hallway after hallway and I knew I'd never be able to find my way back to the main level, but I was too tired to confront my worries, I just wanted to get somewhere to lie down. After a while of walking, we finally came to a door, which Mrs. Jones quickly opened and let me walk in before she left, saying, "The maids will wake you and show you what you are to wear when the time comes. But you don't need to worry about that, just rest up Ms. Turner."
I sighed as she closed the door. Not even looking around at the sparkling room, I went straight to the huge bed and fell asleep as soon as my head was on the extremely fluffy pillows.
Blake's P.O.V.
I ran my hand down my face, I was extremely exhausted. Mom and dad had told me about their little plan a couple weeks ago, expecting me to be happy-go-lucky with it. At first, I had been furious with them, they put it like I couldn't run the company by myself, that a wife would fix all of their worries.
I had dated a few girls here and there when I had been in high school, but as soon as I got out; my main goal was the company. It had been my dream since my dad told me about it. Every once and a while I would think about having a family one day but I thought it could wait until after I took over the company, apparently not.
Sighing with frustration, I looked down at my shoes; they said they'd bring the last girl thirty minutes ago. I just wanted to get away from these fake model girls, who thought they were the best things on earth, that attitude disgusted me.
I looked up to see our limo pulling in for the thirteenth time today. This is so exhausting! I shouted mentally in my head.
The girl that stepped out was different than the model-know-it-alls. Well at least her clothing was, instead of a mini skirt and strapless top; she had on light colored jeans, a light pink t-shirt, with cowgirl boots, and to top it off, a grey and white Siberian husky standing beside her.
A grin almost came to my face, but I stopped it before she could see and immediately turned my face emotionless.
She glanced up at me a couple times as she made her way up the steps, but once she got in front of me she looked everywhere but my face, until my mom introduced us. She quickly looked up then at my extended hand but was rushed away by mom before she could shake it.
