That morning, I woke up late, the sun was already up when I went down for breakfast. Almost everyone was gone, except for Jane and Alec. They seemed relieved to see me. I spotted the Cullens at the other end of the table. I gave my brother and sister a quick good morning and ran to see my family. Dez pulled me into a hug. We stood there for I don't know how long. "I've missed you Dez," I said and he held me tighter.
"Dez, let go of my sister," I heard Alec say not far behind me. Dez continued to hold me. "She's my girlfriend, and she's grown up, she can run her own life." I let go of Dez but held onto his hand. "Guys, please stop." Alec turned and left. I started talking to Alice about my dress last night. I spent the rest of the day with my family and slept the night away with Dez, since Jane went to stay with Trent for a while. I spent the rest of the week with my family or running errands for Aro.
Dez didn't much like me having to do chores and tried to do it for me, but there were some things only I could do. Jane had just gotten back and Aro, Father and Marcus are going to step down to let us rule tomorrow. I was teaching a class cause no one had found a good teacher yet. Dez was sitting in the back of the class like usual, when he got up. There was only a couple minutes left for the day. I was confused, but there wasn't much I could do right now. He left in a hurry like he couldn't stop. I finished the class quickly and rushed out. "Dez!" I called out as I run up the stairs to my room.
When I got there, all of his stuff was gone, which wasn't much just a backpack full. I looked around and saw a note on my bed. It said, Dear Brit, I love you. I'm sorry, I sensed something in the states. Meet you back at the Cullens soon. I wish i could have stayed. Love, Dez
I understand that he can't help but leave but it hurts when he does. I went along with my daily requirements. Dinner, unlike breakfast, was anything but a meeting time. The only people who went to dinner were Jane, Alec, the humans and I. But today the Cullens joined us. "Hey, I'm leaving with you guys tomorrow." I said as I finished my dinner. Carlisle nodded and said, "Have you seen Dez? He disappeared." I put my plate in the sink before saying, "Yeah, there was some danger somewhere. He said he'd meet us back in Washington." I smiled at them.
I went up to my room and Jane helped me pack a bunch of my clothes and things. "I love you Jane. I'll come back soon." She gave me a big hug and we went to bed.
