Joe doesn't sleep much. This means he thinks a lot at night, and the previous night he happened to have thoughts that were mainly about one particular person...
"I have, why?"
"I think I like someone."
"Oh? Who?"
Sara had liked Joe for a while now, she knew he wasn't talking about her, but... a girl can dream, right?
"One of the new kids."
"Oh, you were talking to that girl quite a lot yesterday... Anzu Kinashi, right?"
"Well, yeah that's her name, but-"
"You like the other one?"
"...I think so?"
"Oh... but wasn't he mean to you?"
"Not really, he just said he didn't want me to help him get up, which is fair, because I was the one that crashed into him in the first place... but he's really nice and pretty and cute and his hair looks so soft and he looks easy to pick up and his eyes are so pretty and-"
"I think you should talk to him more before you can be sure you like him."
"...That's fair... he doesn't talk much though, and I don't wanna force him to talk if he doesn't feel comfortable with it, so..."
"Hey! Joe! Over here!"
Joe looked up to see Anzu waving him over, Ranmaru was there too but he was looking down at the ground.
"Sara, do you wanna join us?"
"...Sure. I think we still have some time before class, so why not."
