Did he really have to yell her name at the top of his lungs to greet her? She'd be surprised if there was anyone in this neighbourhood who didn't know her name at this point.

"Good morning, Joe, did you sleep well?"

"...No? Since when do I sleep? I did have a nice night though!"

"You really gotta get a better sleep schedule, you sleep through at least one class a day, I can't keep giving you my notes to copy."

"Ehhh... I'll consider it. Anyway, how're ya doin'?"

"I'm doing alright, not particularly looking forward to school today though..."

"Aren't you the smart one though?"

"Compared to you, yes, however I heard that there were new students today and I don't feel like socializing."

"There are? I didn't know that, do you know their names?"

"You slept through the announcement, and no I don't know their names. I just know that there are t-"

She almost ran into the wall, she would've if Joe hadn't grabbed her shoulder.

"Oh. We're here."

"...Yep. Let's go inside then, yeah?"

The brown haired boy, Joe Tazuna, seemed to be very excited about new students. He was certainly more extroverted than his best friend, Sara Chidouin, meaning he was commonly more excited about meeting new people, while Sara just trailed behind. She still somehow ended up talking to the people Joe talked to, though.

She suddenly realized how far Joe was in front of her. And the fact that he was about to run into a shorter boy.

"Watch where you're going-"

"Sorry, sorry, sorry I apologize uh... need a hand?"

"I'm fine, just watch out next time."

The smaller boy got up and walked off, glancing back to look at the taller, brown haired boy who looked kind of rejected. He didn't pay much attention though. They didn't even know each other, so why should he care?
