Campus (Nagito x Hajime)

The strudel was buttery and warm. It tasted like something your grandma would've made. As Pekoyama and Hajime finished the treat they paid. 

"Ah, 1.99 cash or card?" Nagito bushed flour off his green apron.

"Cash, please." Hajime handed Komaeda a two dollar bill. 

"These are pretty rare nowadays huh?" Nagito softly stared into Hajime's eyes. 

Hajime looked away. "Yeah. I guess." 

"Well, we better be heading back now. Fuyuhiko is probably wondering what's taking so long." Peko intruded.

"Oh!- Yeah." Hajime got off his bar stool and waved to Nagito. The bell rung as he closed the door.

Nagito checked his watch. He looked out the big windows, watching Peko and Hinata pulling out of the parking lot. He took their plate and placed it in the sink, making a clink sound. His shift was almost over. It was about 5pm and it ended at 5:20. He wiped some wet cups. The bell rang as someone walked in.

"My shifts starting soon." A petite girl with pink eyes said. "I thought I should get here a bit early." 

"Thanks, Chiaki. You're closing today, by the way. Aren't you?" Nagito asked.

"Yeah. I am." Chiaki sat down. 

"Make sure you get the lock on the back door that one is tricky." Nagito pointed back.

"Alright. You should head back now. It's 5:20. Drive safe, please." Chiaki got up from her chair. 

Nagito took off his apron and grabbed his keys. "See you, Nanami."

"Mhm." The girl went in the back to get ready.

Komaeda headed to his car. His roommates, Kazuchi and Gundham were waiting for him.

Nagito knocked the door.

"Hey Nagito. How was work?" Kazuichi asked. He was drinking a soda.

"It was you know, the usual." Nagito stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Did anyone call me? Uh. I left my phone here."

"No. No one called you. Was someone troubling you? Did you expect a call?" Gundham asked.

"Oh. Maybe he'll call later." Nagito went to his room and flopped onto his bed. He held his phone in his hands. He turned the ring on and the volume all the way up.
