Derek was in Richard's hospital room. Derek was trying to examine Richard, but the Chief of Surgery kept moving.

"Ok, stop it," Derek sighed.

Richard had had enough of poking. "Okay. Stop. That's it."

Derek shook his head. "That is not it."

Richard sighed heavily. "Come on, please, stop it. That's it."

"That is not it, Richard. Hold still," Derek replied with another shake of his head.

"How can I hold still when you're poking me?" Richard questioned.

Derek gave Richard an innocent smile. "I have to poke you to discharge you."

At that moment, a woman entered the room. It was Adele Webber, Richard's wife.

"What makes you think he wants to be discharged?" She questioned.

Richard looked up, incredibly shocked to see his wife.

"Derek, don't you know that this hospital will crumble unless Richard's here holding up the walls?" Adele questioned.

"Adele, you're supposed to be in the Virgin Islands," Richard commented.

"Oh, you are in 5 kinds of trouble, Mr. Man." Adele tutted. She walked up to Richard, and placed a kiss on his cheek. "You had brain surgery and didn't tell me?"

"It was just a small procedure." Richard argued.

Adele looked at Richard incredulously. "It was brain surgery!"

Richard suddenly became sheepish. "I didn't want to ruin your vacation."

"You don't know what a vacation is; how would you know how to ruin it?" Adele retorted.

"Well anyway – " Richard stopped talking and gave her a look. "How did you find – " Realization donned on Richard's face as he turned to Derek, glaring at the neurosurgeon. "You called my wife?"

Derek looked up from the chart he was writing in, obviously startled. "You called mine," he argued.

Richard fell silent.

"Look having someone home with you is the only way I'm letting you out of here today," Derek finished.

Richard caved. "Fine."

Addison entered the room with a smile towards Adele. "I thought I saw a fabulous looking woman walk by."

Adele perked up. "Addison!" She walked up and hugged Addison. "Yes see I told Richard, I knew you and Derek would get back together."

Addison held a tense yet awkward smile. "Ah, actually, I'm here on a case."

"Addison and I are over, Adele." Derek revealed.

"It's not like we're divorced," Addison countered.

Derek gave his estranged wife a look. "Practically divorced."

Adele furrowed her eyebrows. "You've had counseling?"

"We had adultery. That was enough," Derek answered shortly.
