Chapt. 3

"Alright, do three laps. Front back, front back, front back." Bridgette states. Before I step in the pool, I take a moment to look around. I skip all the girls in bathing suits, and focus on all the shirtless guys in swimming trunks.

"Hey, are you ready?" I snap out of my thoughts when a shirtless Cody taps my shoulder. My cheeks turn a deep red, but light enough to hide it.
"Uh, yeah." I say. I won't admit it, but he looked decent I guess. I took a step into my lane.

The water was cold. As I started doing my laps, I warmed up a bit. After about 15 minutes, I finished.
"Bye Bridgette." I say. She smiles at me and waves as I step into the locker room. When I get in a dry off, and change into my usual clothing.

When I walk out, I see Cody and Tyler walking in.
"See ya later Codemister." I say. I cringe at myself and think. That name is so cringy, i don't know why i said it.
"See ya." He says in response. I walk up to our dorm.

After a few minutes of reading a book, Cody walks in.
"Hi, sorry I took a while."
"Whatever dude, its pretty late so I'll make dinner." I say. Cooking is actually pretty calming for me. He nods and I go to the kitchen.

I decided to make §pæğhëťï. A few minutes after I finish.
"Cody!" I call.
He waddles out the room.
"Yummy!" I can't help but smile.
"Here you go, gap."
"Thanks!" He exclaims.

I put a lump of §pæğhëťï on a plate and hand it to him. I then sit down and watch him sit down. I hold the fork as if I'm about to eat, but get pulled in by my thoughts. Left in a position where it looks like I'm staring at Cody.

I wonder what he thinks of me.

Why do I care again?

I don't, right.

But do I really?

Huh?

"Noah?" Cody asks, shaking me.
"Huh? Oh, sorry I was thinking about something."
"Oh alright. Just make sure to eat so you aren't hungry in class!" Cody says, happily. I smile again and starting eating.

I walk to my room and hop on my bed. I make sure  to set an alarm, then take out a book and read. My eyes get heavy...

Beep! Beep!
I groaned and rubbed my eyes. I fluttered them open and dismissed my alarm. I checked the time. 6:02. I yawned and got up. I walked into the kitchen and poured some čėřęäļ into a bowl.

I poured in some milk, and started eating. I should probably wake up Cody. I walk up to his bed and shake him.
"Cody, get up." He yawns and sits up. He starts rubbing his eyes.
"Oh, hi Noah." He says softly.

"Come on bud. We gotta get ready." I say.
"Okay, you can go first. I'll get some breakfast." He says, walking out the room. I got some clothes out my drawer, and walked into the bathroom.

I took a quick shower and then brushed my teeth. I then changed into my usual clothes.
"Alright Cody, you can get ready now." I say to him. I sit on the couch and pull out my phone. I see that Owen texted me.

Owen: Hi buddy! 😁

NOah: Hi big guy

Owen: So who's your roommate and how are they like?

NOah: Cody, and he's geeky

Owen: Mine is Gwen, and she's pretty nice. Bye buddy!

NOah: Bye.

I let out a sigh and put away my phone. I put my bag over my shoulder.
"Bye Codemister." I say.
"Bye bye!" He says back. I walk to class.
