Once we get to spanish, we sit down.
"Cody, we missed auditions." I whisper to him.
"Aww man, maybe we should make our own club?" He suggests. I make a 'meh' sound and shrug. Then, Alejandro lights up the room.

"Hola." He said. While he was talking, I decided to pull out my phone. I scrolled through TikTok (with airpods in of course 🙄🤚). I went in the hallway, and leaned against a wall.
"Hey Noah." I looked up to see Cody.
"Yes?" I asked, in an annoyed tone.

"Gee, sorry. Anyway, at lunch should we go ask Mr. McClain to let his make a club?" He asked me.
"You're actually considering calling him that?" I asked.
"You're gonna have to, I'm always watching." Chris said on a camera.

I rolled my eyes.
"Sure whatever." I responded.
"I'm gonna go to gym now." I said. I walked off into the classroom. Since I came early, I had a bit of time to go on my phone. I got a notification.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Queen: What class r u guys in?
NOah: gym
Cody: going to gym
Heather: ha, imagine being voted out before the 10th episode.
NOah: okay, whatever helps you sleep at night.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
I rolled my eyes and put my phone away as Cody walked in.
"Alright, let us start!" Svetlana said. I stood up and walked laps. I was very sweaty. Thankfully, Cody looked fine this time.
"Glad you're okay." I said to him.

He looked at me goofily.
"Ha, thanks." He said. While I was on my phone, the announcements came on.
"Eveyone is to be dismissed from their class, wherever they are. Please gather in the library." Chris said.

I motioned Cody to follow me since I knew my way around better, and we both walked to the library.  Surprisingly, they were loads of students already seated at tables for six. I looked around and found a table that had Eva, Izzy, and Owen.

"Hey." I said to them.
"Hi." Eva said sternly, as she stared at her phone with her headphones in.
"Hi buddy! Hi Codemister!" Owen said enthusiastically. Barf.
"Soo, what do you think the announcement will be?" Izzy asked.

"I don't know, we've only been here for a month (uh yeah...) and nothing much has happened." Cody stated.
"I second that." I said.
"I don't know and frankly, don't care." Eva said. I got a book off the shelf and starting reading.

Finally, Chris spoke.
"Hello ex-campers!" He started. I rolled my eyes.
"I am proud to state that we will have a prom night!" Some people were amused and others were in shock. I was neither. Unimpressed.

"Um, Chris-" Courtney started, but he interrupted her.
"That's Mr. McClain to you." Courtney rolled her eyes.
"Mr. McClain, we've only been here for a month." She said.
"And..?" Chris said sarcastically.

I walk out and Cody follows.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"This is so cliché. Besides, I don't even have a date. Me and Emma are over." I say.
"Well obviously, I don't have a date either." He starts.

"So maybe we could go— as friends?" He asks.
"Sure, I have nothing better to do on a Friday night. It's at 7:00, so be ready." I say.
"Okie dokie!" He replies. Eva has a 99.9% chance of not coming.

Even if she did she wouldn't care if she was date-less. Izzy and Owen would go, so I guess I might as well. I'd have to go off campus to get all dressed up. Or maybe I can be casual? No, this is prom we're talking about. I have to be all formal.

I decided I'd go at lunch, and stop by my local starbucks. Now, I just have to go to Courtney's class. Sigh.

I sit in my usual spot. For black history month, we're taught about Hartiet Tubman. Nothing I haven't heard in elementary school. The bell rings.
"Bye delinquents." Courtney says. I go to my dorm.

I grab my car keys from my night stand and walk down the stairs. I see some students going to the cafeteria. I walked to the parking lot, started the car, and drove to target.

When I walked in, I recognized the place quickly, I walked over to the clothing area for men. Then I thought.

Should we match?

No, we're going as friends so it'd be tacky.

But it's cute.

Or maybe not..?

I'll just shake it off.

Corsage?

Nope.

I looked for a few minutes and saw a tuxedo I really liked. It was navy blue. I looked around and found a black tie. I got some loafers as well, and went to check out counter.
"Oh, hey Noah!" A familiar voice said. I looked up to see Kitty.

"Oh, hey Kit-Kat." I said.
"How are things?" She asked.
"They're pretty good." I actually enjoyed talking with Kitty. It was a lot more fun looking at magazines than talking about buisness plans.
"Soo, why all formal?" She asked.

"Well, Total Drama University may or may not being having prom..."  I said.
Kitty let out a high pitched squeal.
"Got a date?" She asked.
"Kinda, we're going as friends." I said.
Kitty let out a squeal.
"Good luck gay boy!" She said.
