chronicle 20: Searching for a cannibal

"A cannibal? Well, that's just lovely so he may be alive?" I ask while still drinking my soda, it's surprisingly cold and the drink was making my adrenaline move, and I was itching for this guy to jump out of nowhere. I was getting frisky like any moment I was gonna feel something, as I looked behind Judas he seemed strangely calm, strangely calm, I looked at him out of the corner of my eye questioning him. He seems to be reading a book, a book on Italian legends. "It says here He was found out about here, there is or was a tavern here, you sense it?" 

He asks me and of course, I don't have any other game plan I calm myself and focus, letting myself slip back into the Astral realm, back in time, to the world before, it's hazy and when I open my eyes everything is in a melancholic bluish-grey haze, but the scents the same as then, no there's a scent underneath-Meat, Sausage, I look around in place of the church was a massive Inn and inside was a restaurant, my eyes widen and I can't believe it but I see him he's a big bald man with a big hat and something dark about him, eerie but he works as a butcher no wonder I smell meat. "I see him He's in the back corner of Arlen and ..Riva di biasio"  "We're over there what else, tap into him" I walked into the center of the town, and the tavern, and kept quick notice of where he needed to remember"

I'm not actually there but I think I'll take this moment to dig something, I step up to him, and I question him, but I do it traditionally like a tuo il famoso Biasio posso ottenere un'intervista per il giornale sul tuo successo(oi your the famous Biasio can I get an interview for the daily newspaper on your success)The character looked at me with a dark look, frowning almost creepy silence, and yet at that moment, a wide creepy clown-like grin possessed him."Ah Qualcosa per il mio pubblico adorante, chiedi via e posso davvero darti un assaggio o forse un antipasto mentre lo facciamo?(Anything for my adoring public, ask away, and may I indeed give you a sampling or maybe an entree while we do so?)I know the story so of course, I'm against eating anything he's serving, but I can't be distracted, to bring him out I know I need to rattle his memories and then I can question him for real but at that moment as he goes into the back


 I follow him slowly into the back where I feel the sensation of live auras, of course, someone naive wouldn't question meat that's alive, but I knew the story, but not sure where all I saw in the back room was a fridge, no hooks, naked girls, or gored flesh nothing of the sort, which strikes me as odd. I end up heading back to my seat and Biasio comes back out with a slice of food, the famous Sguazeto' stew, and I start the interview, keeping clear of the meat on my side of the table. Looking out into nothing, but preparing to give Judas a notice I play with my pocket."I'm here with Mr. Biagio Cargnio the known cook for the Tavern on Arlen where he is giving us a play-by-play on who Biagio is" I look at the man, squarish jaw, absent look, and yet he's eerily quiet and he has a butcher knife in his hand as he smiles, grinned big start by listening to Judas play this out. 

He's the interviewer. Judas was quiet as I smiled and tried to hold my stomach, as I took in the food, luckily I was in astral therefore I don't nay can't taste anything or else I'd probably gag. "OK ask him first where he lives" I pick up the water and sip it, looking at him patiently, I can't be too antsy." ok che ne dici di dove vieni?"(ok how about where you come from?)Biagio looked up as if thinking, taking small bites of his sausage, in Italy, an interview is best given over a meal, so of course giving himself some of his own dish would only make sense. 

He then wiped his mouth and then spoke."Dalla regione della Carnia nel nord est dell'Italia." ("from the Carnia region in northeastern Italy.)I nod and write in the notepad I have "Ah la regione del nord, devo dire che è bellissima"("Ah the northern region, have to say it's beautiful")Judas was careful planning this. So of course he had me play up a real interview "Diresti che hai imparato a cucinare a casa tua?""Would you say that you learned to cook in your home?")Biagio grinned and nodded and slightly chuckled his aura demeaning as he took another bite and pushed the meat in close to me."mangia mangia per favore Sono quello che viene chiamato un 'luganegher' perché ho fatto una salsiccia italiana conosciuta come luganega, a volte chiamata salsiccia a metro, che non è divisa in collegamenti ma viene fornita in un unico lungo pezzo, da cui il termine 'salsiccia al metro'. Sono fatti freschi e non possono essere conservati come il salame e altre salsicce secche.
