Before the beginning (a shadowhunter fanfic)

Chapter three

Jonathon woke up from an alarm beside his Bed.

It was 7:00 it was very early, he rubbed the hard sleep out of his eyes.

Alec burst into his room.

'J.C get up your going to be late.' He told Jonathon.

'Late for what?' Jonathon asked.

'We have mundane studies with hodge.'

'Alec you have come and woken me up from an amazing dream, to tell me that we have to learn about mundanes?' Jonathon asked

Alec nodded his head.

Jonathon groaned and hopped up.

'Alright I'll be out in a minute.' Jonathon told him and Alec left.

Jonathon got changed into his gear and threw on a red hoodie, he walked out the door and Alec was standing near his door, he threw Jonathon an apple and they walked down the hallway.

'Here we are.' Alec said pointing to a door.

Jonathon stood near the door gesturing to it and said. 'Alec, you know A comes before J so you go first.'

Alec laughed.

'I will never understand you, Jace.' Alec told him.

'Jace?' Jonathon asked.

Alec shrugged. 'Meh, a nickname for your nickname I guess.'

'I like it.' Jonathon told him. 'I shall be known as Jace from now on, the greatest shadowhunter who ever lived.'

Alec laughed again.

'What's so funny?' Asked a man.

'That's hodge.' Alec whispered to Jace.

'Hello.' Jace said to him.

'Hello Jonathon.' Hodge said to him.

Jace shook his head.

'No, I was just telling Alec here that I am to be known as Jace from now on.'

'Ok?' Hodge said. 'Alec where's your sister.'

'She's on her way.' Alec told him

'Sit, both of you.'

Alec and Jace both sat down beside each other at a dest.

Isabelle walked into the room her hair in a ponytail and sat down as well.

'We will be learning about the titanic.' hodge told them and handed them large books.

Jace opened up his book and started to read the first page.

'I will be back soon I expect you to read up to chapter five.' Hodge told them.

Jace read half of the first chapter and gave up.

Jace wrapped his arms around Alec.

'Alec if I read one more word I won't survive.' Jace complained.'

'Calm down J.C you haven't even finished the first chapter.' Isabelle told him.

'Izzy I do not know if you have heard but I do not go by the name J.C anymore I go by the name Jace now.'
