Chapter 1

My name is Adeline. I'm seventeen years old and my life is a mess. "Time for school" My mom said. "Do i have to go today?" i said angrily. "Yes, your teacher called and says you've been skipping classes. Your father is mad at you." My mother said in a worried tone. I gulped as i nodded. My father sometimes get really mad at me and hits me. Really bad. Sometimes he leaves bruisers, sometimes broken bones.

I put on my uniform as i got a message from my best friend, Lilith. It said she was outside waiting for me. As i was walking out the door my father yelled at me. "If i hear you skip on more time, it's over for you. I mean it."He said in a angry tone. My eyes started to water as i walked outside. I hadn't ate breakfast since i was scared on being late to class. I couldn't afford to miss another class. Otherwise i was dead meat.

"Hey! Come on get in." Lilith screamed at me. Lilith always made me happy. She knows my dad abuses me and always try's to help. "Have you ate yet?" She asked. "No" i said while playing with my hands. "Alright we're getting some donuts." She said joyfully. I loved her but sometimes she just doesn't understand. "Lil i can't be late to class. They are going to call my dad and i'm gonna get in trouble. Please don't do that to me." I said worried. "Dude, we're not gonna be late. *she said while smirking* I already got us some." "How did you?" While interrupting me, "you really think i don't know you?" She said while laughing. I smiled as i ate a chocolate donut.

We arrived at school earlier than expected. Which meant i had a few extra minutes before class. I went into the bathroom and put some makeup on. I'm not allowed to wear makeup since my dad says only sluts wear it. I heard Moaning come from a stall. No other than Aaron Jacobs walked out with another girl. God i hated him. He laughed as walking out like nothing happened. I hated him ever since 9th grade. We used to be best friends, Him, Me, and Lilith. But ever since he told us he was in the most dangerous gang. Well, He changed. He started calling me and Lil sluts and whores. He hurt us.

I walked into first period. All the seats were taken up, except one. The one next to Aaron. I guess our teacher was gonna give us new seats. So this meant i was gonna sit here for the next month. Already a great start to February. "Alright class, Today we have a new student. Sam introduce yourself!" Mr. Wilson said while pointing at a buff, blonde hair and green eyes guy. He stood up, looked around 6'5 and said "Hi, i'm sam and i like to fuck girls. There." He said while smirking at me. Which of course made me blush. I turned away and saw Aaron laughing. I wanted to punch him in the face. But if i did i would go to the principles office. "Really sam? It's your first day. Go to the office." He said while making a mad face.

As he walked out, he stared at me. And waved goodbye. My cheeks were bright red. What is happening. I've never had a boyfriend. I'm the least prettiest girl in this room. And yet he didn't look at anyone else. Me. I payed attention to the white board for the rest of class. The bell rang and it was easier for the rest of the day. I waited outside by Lil's car, while she finished up talking with her boyfriend. Ugh, she has a good relationship. He takes care of her and treats her right. Everyone in the school was jealous. I was too distracted looking at them that i hadn't notice Sam walking towards me. "Hey" Sam said in a deep voice. I loved guys with deep voices, they are just so attractive. "H-Hey" i said stuttering. I'm so stupid when it comes to taking to guys. At least i didn't throw up on him like i did with Beck Grant in the 8th grade. "So, I was wondering if-", Lil caught him off by saying "Adeline, your going to be late." I nodded as i sat down in the car. "i'll catch you later!" Sam yelled as we drove off. I saw him smirking making me smile.
