Chapter 2

Lil dropped me off at my house, i had to unlock the door since no one was home thankfully. I made a salad. I've been losing confidence in myself ever since i've been called names by Aaron. He's always paying attention to what i do. Before we switched spots, i saw in the front of the class while he was sitting in the back. A random girl told me he's always staring at me. I took that in a weird way since i never talk to him. Before i began to eat, i changed into some more comfy cloths since i wasn't allowed to go anywhere. I sat down on the couch and turned the tv on. I felt so comfortable after a long day at school. The reason i had been skipping class was to catch up on other things in my life. My family runs a mafia. No one in my school really cares about that other than Aaron. Our family's hate each other. I put on my favorite tv show, the vampire diaries.

As i began to watch it, i heard a the doorbell. Since no one was gonna be home for awhile, i had to answer. It was weird being all by myself, especially with no guards. I opened the door, to my surprise i see Aaron standing there. He looked beat up. I almost felt bad for him. "What are you doing here?" i snarled. "Can i stay here for the night? It's not safe at my house." he said worried. "What makes you think i'm going to let you stay here?" I said as I rolled my eyes. "Please, i'm begging you. I'll give you 25 hundred if you let me stay." 2500 hundred is a lot to me.

"My dads going to kill me if he knows your here." ... "i won't make any noise please." Aaron said. "Fine but your going to have to stay in my room. So i can keep a eye on you." i said in my worried tone. I walked him upstairs. "Stay here. If you make any noise, i'll kill you before my father does." As i walked away, i heard his footsteps. He was here. I started to get worried as my father started at the mess i made. "Go into the room" He pointed at the last door in the hallway. That's where he gave me and my siblings beatings. "Please dad. I mean sir. I'll clean it up and won't ever do it again." I said as my eyes started to swell up with tears. He continued pointing. I quickly moved, hoping he would have mercy on me.

As i waited for him to come in the room. I got worried he might try to go in my room. Only to find Aaron there. He walked in with a belt. It had pins at the end. He began to hit me with it. I started screaming in pain. Begging him to stop. He kept laughing and said "this only makes me want to hit you more." I was sobbing as i left the room. I went up to my room. Sat on the bed, crying. I forgot Aaron was there for a second. I bet he heard everything. He didn't even ask me what's wrong. He just started at me. Which made me cry more. He came up on the bed and sat next to me. Just staring at the sheets. Then he turned facing me. And gave me a hug.

His touch. I've never felt anything like it. He was warm and gave me butterfly's in my stomach. Although he is dangerous, Right now i felt safe. The hug lasted for 10 minutes. I fell asleep in his arms. I could feel him gently lay me down. He knew he would get caught if he stayed in my bed. But he didn't care. It was 11 pm. Around my bedtime, so that's probably why i fell asleep early.

When i woke up, He wasn't next to me. Which made me sad. No. I can't think like that. He means nothing to me. He's only staying here for today because it unsafe. But wait, why is it unsafe. I didn't even ask him. Doesn't he have gang members that protect him like our guards do? Oh shit. The guards. They weren't at my house last night since it was there day off. But how was i going to sneak him out. I'm dead for sure.
