It had been a week since that night at the cinema.Harry made up several lame excuses to not see the blue-eyed boy.
Louis figured it out and after a while he just let it go.
Harry wanted time for himself, Louis respected his choice.
Louis tried to invest his time with different hobbies, he wanted to distract himself. But in his head the thought of Harry kept coming back, along with the thought of what he could have done wrong to make Harry react this way.
He didn't consider himself a clingy guy, yet Harry's reaction led him to think that.
He wrote a text to Jameela, asking her out. She was the only friend he had in London, someone he could confide in.
The girl, however, was busy with the university, so she wasn't able to meet him.
He felt lonely.
He took the car and headed to a pub not that far from his house. It was Friday night and he was only 23 years old, he deserved to have some fun every now and then, he thought.
At the pub he met two American girls, they were nice and probably under the influence of drugs. They were trying to get Louis to drink, to snort a few cocaine lines, but he had been sober for two years, he didn't want to touch anything after the sacrifices he made to stop.
He asked the girls for some love advice, but the only advice he received was to have fun and not think about problems.
He tried to do it, but failed.
Harry was at home alone, wracked with guilt. He wasn't ignoring Louis because he didn't care about him anymore, he was ignoring him because he felt shitty to have doubts about his feelings for him.
Louis deserved someone who was a hundred percent sure of how he felt.
Suddenly the bell rang.
"Who could it be at 2:00 at night?" thought Harry.
