A dream turned nightmare

That same night...

It had been an hour since Sakura had left the Sabertooth hotel. Most people were shocked that the master had allowed them to leave that easy. Some were even bragging that they could have had easily defeated Sakura by themselves if they had the chance. By now, everyone was in their own rooms getting ready for bed or was already in bed.

Sai was standing in the balcony of his room looking at the beautiful moon in the sky. He remembered how when they were children, seeing the moon always cheered Sakura up even when the day was full of torture, work, and hunger. Seeing the moon made Sai ashamed of what he had done as well. How was he so stupid to not think that the man that he was torturing was in fact the same rhino who he had risked to protect. It was nothing new that could transform into a human, in fact when he first hatched from the egg, he had transformed into a five-year old-young boy. It seemed that jealousy had clouded his judgment and had caused him to act in such a cruel way.

As Minerva turned in the bed behind him, he inspected the seal that Sakura had placed into him chest. It was located over his heart and it glowed every time that he moved. It was of a crescent moon with a sun behind it. It looked just like Sakura's necklace that she wore all the time. After more than thirty minutes of just standing there in the warmth, he finally decided to go to bed.

Into his dream

Everything was white. There was absolutely nothing wherever he looked. Then he finally saw what he was dreaming. It truth the dream that he was having was more of a memory than a dream. Even after so many years he could still remember that day. To him it was the reason that he had not committed suicide when he found out that Sakura had gone missing.

"It has been a long time has it not?" asked someone behind him. When he turned around he saw Sakura standing there in what seemed to be her pajamas. She was wearing something that looked like a pair of fluffy white tiger pajama pants and a fairy tail shirt. Her hair was in a long messy braid that reached her waist. She was also wearing her necklace as well as a glove in her left hand.

"What are you doing in my dream!" asked Sai very shocked and scared. He was sure that he would not be dreaming of her after what he had done.

"I am a Lunar Dragon Slayer. I have total control over the realm of dreams. I can walk inside of people's dreams when I feel like it. Plus I did put the seal on you so I have to be here." Explained Sakura as she made a table and two chairs appeared. "Your dream is now paused. Let's sit down and watch your dream." Sai did as he was told. In truth he was a bit scared of what Sakura would do, but it seemed as though she was calm, something that he knew very well was a bad sign when it came to Sakura.

His dream began. As he had guessed it was in fact a memory of when he was a child. In it was a child version of the both of them as well as a young . They were all inside of the tower and it was night-time. Everyone in their cell was already dead so it was just the three of them. There was no moon out, so Sakura was very depressed. As the one-eyed red-head fixed her long hair into pig tails, Sai was playing with the little rhino.

"When our siblings finally get out of here and come back with help to free us, the five of us will live in the far away mountains away from the sea in a cute little house with many trees all around it. There we will be able to see the moon every night and the birds every day. I will work right along my strong older brother with merchants as we did when we were with our parents while you and your sister work in learning and teaching us magic. When we become strong enough we will join the most powerful of guilds and become the strongest in the world. Then no one can every treat us this badly ever again. Then when we grow up, I promise to one day marry you Sakura and then the three of us will really become a family." Said the younger version of Sai as he put a ring made of twine on the younger version of Sakura's finger. Young Sakura was not able to react for a guard was coming near and they had to hide.

Now back to the present

The two adults stayed quite for some time. Those begin because Sakura was drinking tea while Sai was too nervous to talk. Finally, Sakura finished her tea.

"You might be wondering why I am in your dream." Asked Sakura. With this Sai began to fear for his life. "The reason begin that I had to talk to you. I am very happy that you have moved on and are getting married soon. You deserve to be happy as I say over and over to your idiot brother and my sister. I am not mad about that in fact I am happy." Said Sakura as her smiling face began to change into her murderous look "No I am mad because you tortured and beat up my precious , and for that I will never forgive you!" she yelled as she hit him so hard in the stomach.

"Happy? I do not even want to marry Minerva! I only agreed to it because I thought that you were dead and it was either that or suicide and I did not want to go on living without you! I did try to kill myself but with every job that I took to try to die in the father away my goal was. So I decided to go move to a farm in the middle of nowhere when they announced that Minerva and me where engaged. I did not even accept!" yelled in Sai in the top of his lungs as he shock Sakura by her arms. This made her even angrier.

"Well I do not care anymore. You might as well marry her. I could never forgive you for what you did today. It is better for the both of us if we don't see each other ever again. Goodbye Sai. I hope you have a good life." Responded Sakura not facing him. Even though he could not see her face, he knew that she was crying and that her heart was breaking. He knew this because that was what was happening to him.

"You forgive my brother for trying to kill us, but not me?!" yelled Sai as she turned around crying.

"Yes I would because I know that he was possessed and that he did not mean to do those things." She said as she disappeared.

Sai woke up with a start. He was back in bed, his back facing Minerva's back. Tears rolled off his eye and he could not stop them. He checked the seal in his heart to find out that it was gone. Just like Sakura it was gone. But he would not stand to be separated from her. No he would win her back even if it killed him.

So I am not really happy with this chapter. I am kind of dissapointed about it.
