Day 3 Prompt 1

"Is this the second time we've both gotten stuck in the same elevator?" 

Matteo hated the stairs. Absolutely hated. Especially after a long day of work. Right now all he wanted to do was get home and lie down on his bed, while his roommate and best friend, Luna gets him some tea. The girl makes really good tea, then again she learned from her mom who is probably the best chef out there. Matteo thought Luna would be home since she is usually home by 4:00 pm. So naturally it being 6:30 pm he thought Luna would be back, so he decided to take the elevator so it's less work and takes less time. Luna also hated stairs, she hated how steep they were and how long they took to climb. She just wanted to get home. Her boss told her to stay longer today, to do some more work. She knew Matteo had a long day as well since he texted her "I had a long day" so she thought if she got home in time she could make him something. Of course this was the day her boss had to keep her later. She decided to take the elevator in hopes of getting there before Matteo. Matteo started walking towards the elevator and bumped into somebody.
"Oh, I'm so sorr...Luna?" Matteo started to apologize but realized who he was talking to "Matteo?" Luna replied with a similar tone.
"Why are you here, shouldn't you be at home or something?" Matteo questioned with a worried tone
"My boss made me stay longer. I was hoping to be able to use the elevator to get upstairs quicker so I could make you something to eat or drink" Luna explained
"I guess we both had the same idea. Let's just go together. I can wait a few minutes." Matteo said to her exhaustedly.
They both got in the elevator practically dragging their feet. Once they got in Luna pushed the button to the 8th floor and they both slid down and sat on the floor. It was only going to take like 30 seconds but they needed all the rest that they could get. The elevator started to move. Then BANG! The elevator stopped. They both knew what just happened because it had happened before.
"UGH!, not again!" Luna complained 

"Is this the second time we've both gotten stuck in the same elevator?" Matteo asked.
Luna replied with a nod of the head and a small "mhm".
Luna and Matteo sat there in silence together for a while. Knowing they were going nowhere for the next hour or so. After about 10 minutes of dead silence Matteo spoke up 
"Hey Luna, remember the first time this happened?"
"How could I forget, I was getting late for work but had to drop off things at the apartment first and you forgot your wallet upstairs. We both rushed into the elevator at the same time and both pressed the '8' button at the same time as well" Luna started
"Then the elevator made a bang, and we were stuck there. I decided to ask who you were and you asked who I was. Then it hit us! We were roommates. All I knew about you was that Nina was your best friend." Matteo continued
"And all I knew about you was that Gaston was your best friend" Luna finished.
They both shared a small laugh.
"You know I had something to tell you today at dinner, but I guess I'll tell you now but please don't interrupt me" Matteo explained and Luna nodded.
"So I kind of have a crush on you but-" Matteo was cut off by Luna's laughing "
What happened? I was confessing my undying love for you!" Matteo said exageratedly.
"Nothing it's just that I like you too" Luna said once she finally stopped laughing.
They both stood up and Luna gave Matteo a kiss on the lips. Just then the elevator started moving and Luna and Matteo started laughing uncontrollably and continued to when they got to the apartment.

Not me realising I forgot an A/N for this one while I was editing my chapters. So yeah, uhm hi, no i'm not dead, yes i'm working on a one shot rn that'll be released by Monday morning. See you then my loves
