Day 3 Prompt 2 / Hogwarts AU 2

Luna was walking down the Hogwarts corridors so she could get to her locker. yes, locker. Professor Mc. Gonnagal thought it would be easier to take around to classes and less of a walk. Sure they could just make the book appear in front of them in a matter of seconds but Professor Mc. Gonnagal thought that this was was less distracting and that the students should learn something about living in the ordinary world. Ambar was always complaining about hers but Luna helped her get used to it. Luna and Ambar got really close in the past year since they found out that they were cousins. Simon was used to it since he and Luna used to go to regular school before he turned 11 and came to Hogwarts. Matteo got the hang of it pretty quick (she had to help him a little. Jazmin kept slamming them in her face and Delfi stocked hers with too much makeup. Nina was extremely fascinated in the way the work along with Gaston, who kept opening and closing his. Nico and Pedro were okay, it barely mattered to them, it was like it was apart of their natural lifestyle. Anyway all that didn't matter. She opened her locker and a piece of paper fell out. Luna bent over and picked it up.
It said "Meet me by my locker at 10, I need to talk you about something very important - Matteo." Luna knew this was important since he signed "Matteo" instead of "Chico Fresa" or something. She quickly got her stuff and ran to class making a mental note to not get caught by Filch.

Time skip

It was 9:58 pm and Matteo was nervous. Today was the day he was gonna tell Luna he loved her. Ok maybe not love, or maybe love. He had absolutely no idea but he was hoping to find a way to tell her the truth within the next 2 minutes. He was waiting by his locker waiting for Luna to come. He saw something moving in the dark so he quickly cast lumos to see who it was. This was probably the dumbest idea ever, but it could've been Luna.
"Calm down Matteo, it's just me, Luna" Luna assured him.
He sighed out of relief and dimmed lumos so there is just enough light so they can move around but not get caught.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Luna asked.
Luna was a little nervous. Believe it or not she kinda really, really liked him. More like love... but she was getting distracted. Matteo could never feel that way for her. She tried shaking the thought away but she couldn't because Matteo kissed her! MATTEO FRICKIN' BALSANO kissed her. Saying that she was elated was an understatement. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts it took her a few seconds to kiss back. then they heard footsteps and this time they knew they had to hide. Matteo used alohamora quickly, and quietly and rushed both of them into a locker. After the footsteps passed and after hearing a few murmured curse words they knew it was okay to come out. Matteo started to get worried. Maybe it was because he kissed her? Though she kissed back. He thought he would just ask her.
"Hey Luna, What's wrong?" Matteo asked

"We may or may not be hiding in a locker and we may or may not be squished against each other." Luna replied.
They both started to quietly laugh. Luna and Matteo got out of the locker and ran back to the Hufflepuff common room. Yes, Matteo was in Slytherin but he wanted to drop Luna off. Luna said the code word and they rushed in. Luna fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed. Matteo tried to leave but Luna pulled him down. They went to sleep not realizing the surprise that would come tomorrow. They woke up and saw all their friends' faces staring at them and murmuring aw's. Jim had seen them and freaked out and blasted their friend group, and of course took a picture. Luna and Matteo just smiled at each other and returned to the million questions their friends had.
